Season 2 started with a shooting involving Alex and Charlie. Not injured the both rushed to help those around them. The next hour revolved around the main players helping the patients from the shooting or a story that connected to the shooting in someway.
Things I enjoyed included - the relationship between Alex and Charlie. We saw some sweet moments. I also loved when Charlie went to see Shahir in hopes of getting an MRI - Charlie: "You want me to see a Psychiatrist?" Shahir: "Charlie, you were in a coma for three months. Your brain is fine, but you're acting weird and I don't do feelings."
Things I felt didn't work so well were Alex working with Maggie and all the buddy, buddy going on between them. Also, why is Charlie giving Maggie the time of day? He hardly new her in season one. Dawn was pointless in the episode and only tried to stir things up, and not well.
Things I would like to see - Charlie learning more about his abilities. More natural relationships between the staff (sometimes these seem forced). Story lines that are a little less contrived.
Overall, a good episode, but I do hope that it improves as I did enjoy last season and I didn't think it was there yet.
