Amazing episode!!
drewschille9 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode focuses on Reese and Carter traveling to Texas in order to discover Root's origins to find out where she and Finch are. The episode takes place in Texas, which is a great change of scenery. We also find out who Root is through a thoughtful twist, and the tension of Reese saving Finch is incredibly tense. Overall, an amazing episode.

Miss this show ...

Warning: Spoilers
Do love the background for "root" and knowing that she was a good young girl when trying to report who and how and why her friend vanished, but that woman who wanted to marry a murder and how she told off a child/teen that just is, no words to describe other than she should have been brought up on charges and sent to prison for rest of her life as she knew he killed a child/teen (would not surprise if there were more of his victims) and never told, sorry but who would marry a murderer who likely raped before killing (or...)

This show had/has a lot in it over the years was on, and yes this might seem like "crazy conspiracy" but we know we are being watched and so much more today, why else do you get coupons or have movies or shows you might like show up...

Bad code, yup, good 2 words to sum up far too much;;; but do love that Finch will also say it soon.

Who is Root?
claudio_carvalho22 February 2024
Reese and Carter travel to Texas to investigate the disappearance of the fourteen-year-old Hanna Frey in 1991 since Reese believes she is Root. He leaves his dog Bear with Fusco and asks him to continue to investigate the death of Alicia Corwin. Reese steals the file of Hanna Frey from Sheriff Landry's office and soon they find flaws in the original investigation. They interview Hanna's father and the librarian Barbara Russell and soon they discover what happened to Hanna Frey. Meanwhile, Root tortures Denton Weeks since she wants access to The Machine. When she finds that Weeks will not help her, she shots him and dopes Finch to travel with him by train.

"Bad Code" is another excellent episode of "Person of Interest", with Reese and Carter investigating who might be Root. They succeed in their investigation since they found many flaws in the original investigation and now, they know her identity. Reese's investigation finds a missing Root, but he does not explain how he got this hint. My vote is nine.

Too many plot holes makes this unwatchable
interestingstuff14 January 2023
If I had a dollar every time people gave 9s and 10s to an episode that's terrible and unwatchable, I'd be so rich but then again TV audience aren't known for their intelligence are they?

In this episode POI tries to imitate CSI but fails miserably. This episode has so many plot holes, logical errors and inconsistencies, I forgot to count them after spotting 20 such errors.

Mr. Reese sees a random newspaper article from Texas from years ago and automatically concludes that this must be related to Roots for absolutely no reason. He finds out someone is sending someone books and calls the credit card company who conveniently tell him what town Roots lives without a warrant just like that. Then you have Mr. Reese going to the town where Roots lives and finding her house without even having an address but who cares about common sense and logic, right?

There is no explanation as to how Reese figured out anything yet he magically figures out one thing after another without any proof as if he has some magical powers or he's some type of super psychic. The episode doesn't even try to fit things into a context or explain how anything got solved. Reese just has a "feeling" and viola, everything fits into place perfectly.

Being a TV writer is the easiest job in the world. You can write complete nonsense and people will fall in love with it because they lack intelligence, common sense and logic which is why they watch this stuff anyways.
