Good ideas but poor execution

Warning: Spoilers
Halfway between fiction and reality, Orléans offers a dramatized portrait of the lifes of stripteasers in the city of Orléans, France. Hard to separate facts from truth in this case, as the movie only covers a very thin part of their lifes and dreams. Choosing to portray two (apparently) real stripteasers does not turns out a good choice too when comes the fiction part of the movie as they are not convincing enough.

The movie also offers to discover the city of Orléans during the commemorations of its liberation in 1429 by Joan of Arc, symbol of the city. However this representation of Orléans makes very little contact with the story of the two stripteasers and ends up relegated to the status of a mere anecdote.

There is no real conclusion to the movie as the fate of those two stripteasers remains unclear. While the subject is interesting, the movie leaves us unsatisfied and will mostly interest people who knows or lives in Orléans.
