A knock out episode...
kitano012 May 2012
Very surprised no one has reviewed this wonderful episode yet. In my opinion CSI is hitting on all cylinders. Ted Danson and Elizabeth Shue have brought this show back to life. Not to slight any of the others in the cast, who are all wonderful. This was the best episode I have seen in a long time. I really love the way all of the staff are relating to each other. The fact that everyone now is referring to "family meetings", and how the episode explored the family life of DB, bring in not only his wife wonderfully played by Peri Gilpen, but his daughter and grand-daughter. With the show letting us invest our emotions on various members of the cast, it led to a knock-out of a conclusion. It also resumed a supposedly long-forgotten story arc that could affect the entire series henceforth. I know I am being rather vague, but if you haven't seen this episode. Please watch immediately. It is a stunner.

The Usual Unanswered Questions
Hitchcoc22 March 2021
Not much to say here. Once again there is corruption inside the police force. This is about a triple homicide that has connections to the guy who killed Warrick Brown. There are several incorrect judgments along the way, leaving a smoky path. DB is kind of pushy in this one and Nick is letting the job get to him. There are startling couple of events at the conclusion to get us heading into Season 13.

Undersheriff Jeffrey McKeen Returns
claudio_carvalho26 November 2023
During the campaign for the reelection of Sheriff Sherry Liston, the famous Jack Gilmore is the host. While Sheriff Liston is speaking, a bodyguard, a man and a woman are killed in a motel. Ecklie is informed and goes with Russel investigate the crime scene that is close to the event where they are. They identify the victims as the drug dealer Donny Price, his bodyguard and his lover and Jack Gilmore's wife Veronica Gilmore. Jack becomes Finn's prime suspect but for political reasons, she cannot process him. All the evidence points to jack Gilmore, but Finn concludes that Jack has not killed his wife. Lt. Paul Kimball is called to assist the investigation, since he is the leader of an undercover operation to catch Donny Price. When the CSI finds that Kimball lured Jack Gilmore and the weapon used in the murders belonged to the former Undersheriff Jeffrey McKeen, they bring him from the prison to be interrogated.

"Homecoming" is probably the best episode of the Twelfth Season of the "CSI". The cliffhanger in the end seems to be a promise of an excellent sequel. Conor O'Farrell has an excellent performance in the role of the disgusting Undersheriff Jeffrey McKeen, who killed the CSI Warrick. I believe that the feelings of Nick towards McKenn is the same of all CSI viewers. Looking forward to see how this situation will be resolved in the next episode. My vote is nine.

Almost sets up for (******* ) to come back.

Warning: Spoilers
Gotta be CSI's best cliffhanger since both season 7 and season 8.. Got a touch of the old CSI here. Season 11 is almost unbearable to watch. So bad it took me until sometime earlier this year to finish Season 11. Think ted danson's gotten the show back on it's feet. can't say much about Elizbeth Shue yet. Although being someone who was like 9 yrs old or so during a certain karate movie... I'm probably stereotyping her. although mixing her in so far has been interesting. This episode though (spoiler alert) and theory alert sets up only one possible conclusion. Being Warrick died in who's arms? Who came back because of Warrick's death. Well Sara of course. Who would come back if Comrade is out of action, Fishburne is recovering somewhere, and Ted Danson has a family problem now. There's only one guy. And he's married to Sara. Just one theory. But he would have a serious axe to grind with McKean. Moment his name entered my ears again. I was thinking no no no. Don't bring him in. Things will get hairy now that he's all healed. (on a side note.. so who did Hodges marry in Italy??) It'll take a bit to get over this episode. Thats gonna get ugly.

Show turns into a stupid Soap here
koohii18 December 2020
Elements of this episode work, but very few. For the most part, however, this episode surrenders any attempt at being intelligent in favor of sub-standard DRAMA. Danson and Shue are poor substitutes for Peterson and Hergenberger. DB is too weak a character and personality to carry leading this team. Shue's character displays a consistently remarkable lack of judgement or decision making skills. Again, this is not for the sake of the characters, but for the sake of creating fake drama. Don't count on a satisfying resolution to the so-called cliff-hangers. You've probably written a better one in your heads in the last 10 seconds while reading this review. Honestly, the writers of this episode and the next one need to go back to school.
