High hopes crushed.
TvTobbe17 October 2012
OK, my high hopes from episode 1 is getting crushed for every episode. I am having a hard time defending this anymore against the haters. Tracy Spiridakos acting hasn't developed a bit since her kids-TV-career and her acting abilities stays at simplistic entertaining of kids. Shes is definitely not helped by who ever wrote her character. Its not very likely that she managed to survive for 15 years in this false and brutal world being so sickly naive and constantly making mistakes.

Hats off for Giancarlo Esposito who outshines everybody with his interpretation of the psychotic Captain Tom Neville.

This show needs a miracle even more miraculous than the instantly-bumping-into-the person-you-look-for-in-a-crowded-town-syndrome that this show is suffering from.

Shape it up!

This was a really disappointing episode

I have had certain problems with all the episodes, but this one was really bad. If you are fighting the evil empire, you cannot allow them to have a train, so many more would die, so one life would just not be justified. Even so, given that cars can be separated, why not separate the car from the train, and let the engine be destroyed. Also, if the engine is destroyed, that does not even mean that the train will be derailed. Also, how did Miles know the right log. There are a whole bunch of other inconsistencies in the whole series. Without railroads, there would be pretty much no way for any group to be able to control a significant part of the country considering that there would be a lot of patriots to the original US, particularly in the heartland of the US, so revolts would be common. WOuld probably have been better to concentrate on fighting the bad guys instead of finding one person.

Not getting better
judywalker216 October 2012
You know I think that writers should have stopped doing this when LOST started fading. Attempting to build story week after week like this, well it takes a really good premise, interesting characters and great acting (i.e. Supernatural is the only one I know that's been able to keep it up). I don't think this is going to last. The premise was okay but not great. The characters, well, they had some good ones; which creates a real problem. The acting is sub par which really hurts, except for Giancarlo who elevates anything that he's in. The last episode was a really poorly done, except for the parts that revealed some of Giancarlo's character's history. I don't think it's going to get any better with time. Too bad.
