This anime series is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Kanae Hazuki. It was serialized in Kodansha's Shoujo manga magazine Dessert from February 2008 to July 2017, with its chapters collected in 18 tankobon volumes.
Sukitte Ii na yo. is licensed by Sentai Filmworks for release in North America. The anime adaptation was followed by a live action film adaptation that premiered in 2014 and earned over ¥1 billion (around 10 million USD) at the Japanese box office.
The first episode received an early webcast at Nico Nico Douga on 05.10.2012. It was limited to the first 2000 people.
