I swear, I left her by the water... I swear, I left her safe and sound...

Warning: Spoilers
{moderate spoiler, it is virtually safe to read anyway}

If only, if only, their basic crime scene set-up could have been tuned in a slightly different direction to accommodate that Richard Marx song... :)

Okay, this is the first serious case, in the sense of murder, or then, apparent murder. As such, it fails to generate more interest than with the other episodes. As usual, there is the love triangle. Who will Kate choose? Say what you will, while the initial romantic possibilities are there, because opposites attract, it just cannot and just shouldn't be Ben. Which is why everything here at the moment points to him, because if she ends up in Michael's arms, looking uncertain, then, in her heart, it's Ben.

My prediction for the next episode,is that the choice will seem to be Ben. But in the finale, it will be Justin.

Okay, as for the story-line:

Mostly a lot of talk mentioning a lot of people we never even see. Events we do not really care about then, and 'the accused' (the young man suspected of murdering his girlfriend) is a very light-weight actor who doesn't even begin to convince. A sense of loss over dead girl? No. The other background characters are also second- rate.

Glamorous-wise, this one is mostly sunk. Cold backwoods, frumpy clothing, that awful cap, aw no, I'm gonna watch the previous episode again, thank you very much.
