Gooooaaaallll Doll!
studioAT17 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, so for any '17 Again' fans reading this - the plot of this episode is basically that the actress who played young Scarlett from nowhere suddenly has a crush on the actor who played the older Mike.

I'm not complaining, Carrie having a crush on Ryan only gives viewers more to invest in, and Allison Miller has great chemistry with Matthew Perry, who more and more just seems to be playing himself. Liking girly music, thinking he's Batman - anyone who read his book will know that these things aren't a stretch for him to play.

It's also a bit of a curve ball move, because all the way through it's seemed that if Ryan was to end up with any of the other characters it'd be Lauren.

This was (and sorry for repeating myself) another very good episode. The Sonia/Yolanda plot doesn't add up to much, but the main plot involving Carrie and Ryan is great.

Lovely stuff.

Hannah then goes to the date with Ryan with him being cruel once again to Carrie leaving her alone,. Yolanda having so much fun at work is made take a drug test because of her fake persona. Everyone at group notices how bad Ryan made Carrie feel at the ball. Ryan then tries to apologize with slippers to Carrie but it is not enough for her. Just as Ryan in a suit is ready to got to Carrie has the obstacle of Hannah leaving he for Carrie because of how they are friends. She admits her feelings for him and the atmosphere becomes awkward. The cast has really gelled together and even when some get one line they know how to play off each other which is the great sign of an ensemble. Other then that nothing special in the plot but glad they gave Carrie something to do.

EPISODE GRADE: B- (MVP: Suzy Nakamura)
