Good Enough
PennyReviews2 January 2023
Korean Drama " Cheer Up " is a college, youthful drama with a dush of mystery.

The love story is pretty basic, and the love triangle was boring and had no intensity. However, the youthful vibes and the chemistry of the leads made up for it.

On the other hand, the mystery was a huge miss. It was dark and creepy at first, but was a big let down in the end. It was also pushed aside by the rest of the plotlines, thus, being unevenly paced and all over the place.

The chearing team had its moments also.

The performances, however, were all pretty nice and enjoyable, especially by the female lead.

So, overall, six out of ten.

Dropped it, but enjoyed the episodes ive watched

Warning: Spoilers
I kept wondering why the ratings are low and how the show is underrated till i found out the reason. I loved everything about the show till the end of episode 11. I would eather she ending up with none of them rather than the captain. As the romance between the two was so off and not convincing. Meanwhile choosing the other guy could make the plot more fun and youthful.

Anyways do hae yi's bright and honest character was such a unique character in k dramas and i was all for it. The whole story was so cheerful up till where i dropped it and you couldnt guess what would happen next, which got too far by hae yi's choice. But overall i recommend it if you wanna watch something cheerful.

Awesome!

Love the story! The balance between drama, storyline, comedy and romance is perfect!

There is nothing I want to add or remove from the story, all the characters will slowly show their true self and you can be connected with them as you're watching this drama

And the main female role, she is amaziiing!! I mean her acting skill is another level! She created her own version of a cheerful character which is too realistic it s not at all like others, has her own character and this truly made me a fan.

I think this will be a hit for sure, cant wait to see how is the ending but so far I'm really enjoying it!

Thanks.

Stay strong everyone

This show reminded me of how important to live and not just survive , to follow your heart , your dreams , to try and fail and keep trying, to cry and keep going , to find the people who loves you for who you are , people you know you can rely on .. The last 15 min made me cry a lot , cause it reminded me how unhappy I'm with my situation.. ..................... Learn to live and keep living cause at the end of the day the only thing that it's going to matter is your feelings and never what other things , most of us tend to live at ease fearing the eyes of others , let's be realistic did they matter , are they important... please learn to live like DO HAEi.

Heat Death of The Universe

Well, the drama certainly failed to cheer me up. The entire show was manufactured to be a spectacular disaster. There was no one major issue that held it back but rather a complete systematic failure. Starting from the top of the pyramid, about 80% of the cast members were barely surviving to remain functional. In equal terms, about 80% of the characters were generic youth NPCs from a modern lens. Speaking of characters, how did the writer think that writing the female lead this way was appealing in the slightest? It's baffling! That's also applicable to her cheap copy-cat, Joo Sun Ja, sharing the same revolting DNA. Moving on to relationships, pairs, ex-lovers, triangles, and squares, all of which can be tagged as insufferable spectacles. The reason why the drama added the mystery side plot is because it was unbelievably dry and was in desperate need for something supplementary to help creating the illusion that something is actually happening. It wouldn't have been bad if it served a functional purpose with the overarching narrative. Now, this is a drama about cheering and dancing but this had the worst moves I've ever seen in this context. It was nothing more than choreographed performances by PE teacher for elementary kids. It's seriously bad and embarrassing! Especially when it's coming from Kpop-land. Obviously, there were a lot more to be said but these were some of the highlights. The writer worked on both V. I. P (2019) and this drama, a solid bad track record so far, should be very cautious with future projects.

Better than I thought it would be

This kdrama series was actually better than I thought it would be. Though it's meant for the younger viewers I thought to give it a go and I actually enjoyed it. The main actress Han Ji-Hyun made it enjoyable. How she portrayed the character in this drama was phenomenal. Totally different from when she was in the drama series Penthouse. You can't but enjoy and love her character. I even enjoyed watching main character's mother in this series. She was entertaining as well!

The drama is very fun to watch. A comedy that will make you laugh for sure. Give it a try. You might like it you might not but it not a waste of time if you watch it though.

My favourite Kdrama so far!

Warning: Spoilers
This is definitely my favourite one since it's cheerful and a little bit of mystery. Very good for new kdrama watchers as well . I personally think the love triangle was quite good because I never really knew who she would end up with(Do Hae Yi) I think it was quite youthful and the mother was brilliant too! Would totally recommend . Loved this series!

I think Jeong Woo and Hae Yi ended as a good match and that it was decently a romantic comedy of sorts! I think the ending was great when they relive their cheering days meet up for the wedding and the prophecy was wrong all along. Well the expected prophecy. This was a fun rant but I do hope this helps.
