A film that generates sympathy beautifully.

Hooked from the beginning! Starts off with a bang by following the mercenaries mission, a bit of cognitive estrangement to keep the watcher interested as to what is going on with suspicious scientific behavior at the mission location, all great stuff! But for me particularly was what followed the tragedy of the fallen comrades that made this movie: touching elements of redemption and a pinch of romance!

Action and suspense I found were marginally effective.

I personally feel there is only one truly objective critique I could give, audio quality. Not necessary dirty audio, just unbalanced volume between scenes and the mix within some scenes themselves - between atmosphere sounds, narration, fx, and music.

But with a little grace its easy to set that aside and allow yourself to get immersed into the emotions of it all.

The acting performance that I bought into the most was the friendship between Sophie and the girl she introduces our hero too, well, well done.

Then we get some undead action! Then our hearts warm up along with the hands that are holding each other of a blossomed friendship.

So, we get our ups and downs, a bumpy ride with smooth touching moments. Definitely not a linear boring story!

Time well spent for an independent cinema fan!!
