Stephen Graham was so impressed by Jodie Comer's talent that he called his agent Jane Epstein while on the set, passionately describing the scene he had just shot with the young actress. He asked Epstein if she would like to meet Jodie, to which she agreed. She then became the representative of Comer, which kickstarted her acting career. In a contrast to the violent nature of their scenes, Comer and Graham became close friends. In May 2019, when Comer won her BAFTA award for "Best Leading Actress" for her role as Villanelle in Killing Eve (2018), she also thanked Graham for introducing her to Epstein and making her career possible.
