Great little time paradox movie
JurijFedorov4 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For what it is it's pretty good. I basically watch everything time travel so I know all the ins and outs by now and this concept has been done a bit in other movies already, but it's done very cleverly here and the actor is great so the story shines. Plus the camera work and editing works too. I especially loved the final confrontation with a bullet that was so damn clever. Unfortunately it didn't really solve anything or go anywhere besides the public restroom. It's just action happening there. Really cool, but I wish we could see him arrive to the meeting or meet up with a girlfriend or something. Just something to really feel like the story is complete. It never feels like anything more than a small budget short movie. Despite this the movie overall shines.

We must remember that it's 10 times easier to make a good short film than a full feature. These time travel movies are hit and miss and this one works because it doesn't need to have a theme. If it was required to have a theme and more characters then maybe it would fall apart because this rapid pace would become obnoxious pretty fast.

Paradoxically Good

A man, stuck in a time paradox.

A tale as old as time itself and yet "Stalled" manages to surpass expectations both with its plot, message and execution.

The guy playing the main character (I suspect Jacob Daniels as he's written first it the credits) gives great performance and so does the janitor (Larry Woods), whose appearance is memorable, albeit short. One can argue his role in the plot is greater than it seems, but you will have to figure that out for yourself once you watch the film. And be sure to check his name tag.

While made on a budget, the film also has quite nice special effects, which is a further plus.

Overall, solid 10, this is how you make a short film.

What a thrilling dive into the short film universe!

Warning: Spoilers
A totally intense plot, good acting and a theatrical rise to the story - these three factors alone make a 10-star movie.

As we see, an arrogant man's nature collides with his better developed side, which realizes that he may indeed be a bad person.

The most interesting and also the most important detail is that he actually kills his future: the future of a bad person. I guess we can say he left the bathroom as a better person.

P. S. I've read a theory about him actually becoming the janitor after growing old, leaving clues to his younger self to escape the paradox. Now it's up to everyone's interpretation!

Good film, what a paradox

Warning: Spoilers
A man gets stuck in a public restroom and also in a time paradox.

It has intresting music and sound effects with perfect editing.

Acting is so good that lets the audience keep watching the film without thinking of how the film was actually shooted where in most scenes an actor was talking to the empty space in front of him yet not giving the feeling of it.

The cinematography is so precise that you dont get confused or miss details, instead you stay thrilled and focused on what is happening and what is going to happen.

The story is good and doesn,t stop being good till the end of it.

It is intresting to watch.

a parable

Warning: Spoilers
In a public restroom, a short tempered bussiness man in conflict on phone with his co-worker. A venerable janitor and his word defining the character of man.

A moment of intimancy for poop , a warning on toilet paper and one of familiar paradocx time chain.

The tries to fix this problem is only occasion of a chain of suicides in stall , theories, angry and deep lonelines in the middle of new and new -me-.

Easy to imagine the effect of a curse of janitor . But in fact, the film propose a nice parable about selfishness, admirable working as portrait of many from us.

No doubts, the short presence of old janitor represents the basic virtue of film.
