I love season 4 way better than last season, I know some people don't like Elena turning vampire but I liked it showed all the different stages of the change and Nina played it to perfection, I love it, I love the hunt for the cure, I love no humanity Elena, I love the island episodes, but this episode was a strong get back to basic classic good old vampire diaries oh and there is a new hunter in town, the stuff with the pastor was crazy and that ending man

Warning: Spoilers
Yeah, the fourth season premiere. Of course, the way to make it last this long, is by regularly setting fire to their own tail. Season 3 it was Stefan going unhinged, Season 4 it is Elena turning into a vampire. And that's crossing a line BIG TIME 'cause this is for keeps. You will notice that I rated it highly... it is another great episode. But the fun..? Like I have said before, the fun is gone. Aw, I long for the grand time I had with Season 1. How many times do you have to see a regular character die, only not-die, it is farsical. Numb to it. Sixty-seven episodes and such psudo-deaths were in virtually every one (okay, can't verify this right now, but it feels that way).

Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola great as usual. Candice was especially darling in that scene where she got taken down when the lawmen came for her as she came out the door, those expressions, wow!

In the woods, the erotic sequence, why does Tyler (okay, Klaus) say "wrong equipment"? Does not strike me that way.

Okay, Elena is a vampire now. Major game change. But what next? I have the lot on DVD, but eight, yeah, eight seasons...?

Vampire Elena

Warning: Spoilers
Wow this episode is beautiful and frightening at the same time.

Matt was saved first and then Elena was taken out of the car after. Meredith used vampire blood previously when she was at the hospital which is why Elena is conscious. Elena must feed on human blood or she will really actually die.

Alaric has ousted everyone to the Council. Caroline is upset that Tyler is gone and has not left town. She is kidnapped by the Council along with Rebekah. They are all thrown into cages at the pastor's.

Rebekah watches as Elena and Stefan speak to each other through walls. Elena said she told Matt to drive back to Stefan - she chose Stefan over Damon.

Stefan smartly bangs one of the guards against the jail and he begins bleeding unconsciously. Stefan calls for Elena who reaches desperately and feeds.

Damon is so angry at Matt for being alive because Stefan saved him first over Elena. He is about to hit Matt when vampire Elena comes to stop him.

Elena's memories that were compelled away comes back. She remembers the first time she really met Damon. Then she remembered Damon confessing his love to Elena with a tear streaking his cheek in her bedroom.

Elena confronts him about the first time they really met. Why didn't he tell her? He said it wouldn't have changed anything then said that's not all she should now remember - he is talking about the confession.
