Da Vinci and Botticelli did, according to legend, both worked in Verrocchio's studio in Florence, around 1470 (Botticelli was 25, while da Vinci was 18). They even worked at an inn together in order to supplement their wages, which they later apparently bought and called Le Tre Rane (The Three Frogs). Botticelli painted the menus and Da Vinci wrote them right to left in a homage to his mirror code.
