The Boys Season 4 is one of the most awaited releases on Prime Video. It’s expected to be the most intense part of the series yet. The last season finished in 2022. Then, in 2023, a new series called Gen V was released to connect the story until Season 4. Now, Season 4 is getting ready to answer any questions, and seems like it will be a crucial part of The Boys’ story.
It might bring big changes for Hughie and Butcher, but not necessarily good ones. In the previous season, Butcher and Hughie gained superpowers from Temp-v, Homelander became even more unstable, and Soldier Boy seemingly died. The ending hinted at what’s to come in Season 4.
Homelander is now taking care of his son Ryan, and it looks like he’s teaching him to be violent. With the story reaching even higher stakes, fans are eagerly waiting for Season 4 to hit Amazon Prime Video.

Exclusive: Laz Alonso (The Boys) has joined the cast of Fountain of Youth, Guy Ritchie’s new film for Apple, Deadline can reveal. He’ll star opposite the previously announced John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, Eiza Gonzalez and Domhnall Gleeson.
Sources tell Deadline that Iag facilitated the casting, after just recently taking Alonso on as a new client.
Written by James Vanderbilt, the film follows two estranged siblings who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives…and possibly lead to immortality.
Produced for Apple by Skydance, Vinson Films and Project X Entertainment, the project reunites Alonso with Ritchie, following their work together on the action thriller Wrath of Man, which had Alonso starring opposite Jason Statham. Prime Video’s first teaser trailer for The Boys season four shows a world on the verge of war. “All democracies fail because people are f****** stupid,” says a voice-over, adding, “But if you crush the masses, who builds your monuments?”
The solution is to allow people to tear the world apart themselves, and then the supes can swoop in and save it.
The trailer teases some wild action scenes (as expected from this twisted series) and ends with the introduction of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character.
Season four, premiering in 2024, stars Antony Starr as Homelander, Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, and Jack Quaid as Hughie. Erin Moriarty is Starlight, Chace Crawford is The Deep, Jessie T. Usher is A-Train, Laz Alonso is Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capon is Frenchie, and Karen Fukuhara plays Kimiko. Colby Minifie is Ashley Barrett, Claudia Doumit plays Victoria Neuman, and Cameron Crovetti is Ryan.

How many superheroes would be too many superheroes? Those of us in the real world have been struggling to answer that question for over a decade now, as studios and streamers have gone all-in betting on capes and cowls to drive audiences again and again. In the world of "The Boys," people have been asking the very same question ... but the answers have been slightly more, uh, violent.
"The Boys" first arrived on the scene in 2019, thanks to the efforts of producers and creators Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen and based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's original comic books. The subversive and totally irreverent streaming series instantly made an impact, providing the more adult-minded counter-programming viewers craved after seeing franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe completely take over. Now, after making a name for itself by doing everything that shared universes would never do, there's a...

According to Eric Kripke, showrunner of Prime Video’s stylish superhero satire The Boys, the show’s writing staff never goes into a given episode or season with the intention of upping the violent ante.
“We genuinely don’t have conversations about trying to top ourselves,” Kripke tells Den of Geek during the show’s appearance at SXSW 2022. “I think it’s dangerous because if you’re working to go bigger and bigger it’s an unsustainable pattern. Eighty percent of the conversation in the room is ‘how do we go deeper with the characters and how do we put them through existential crises?.’”
There’s no reason to doubt Kripke and the writers’ room sincerity. Commitment to character development plays a role in any show’s appeal, but particularly The Boys. Adapted from an equally violent comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys...

The first episode of "The Boys" Season Three is titled "Payback", written by producer Craig Rosenberg, starring Antony Starr, aka 'Homelander', Erin Moriarty as 'Starlight', Jessie T Usher as 'A-Train', Nate Mitchell as 'Black Noir', Jack Quaid as 'Hughie Campbell', Laz Alonso as 'Mother's Milk', Karen Fukuhara as 'Kimiko' and Karl Urban as 'Billy Butcher', streaming in 2021 on Amazon Prime Video:
Claudia Doumit, who plays congresswoman 'Victoria Neuman' also returns and Jensen Ackles will play 'Soldier Boy', a former acquaintance of 'Stormfront', from her 'Liberty' days.
"There's a history of 'Vought' that we're starting to map out because 'Soldier Boy' has been a mainstay of Vought for decades," said series creator Eric Kripke.
"He was like John Wayne there, and so as a result, we're writing the history of Vought and how all the characters weave in together. And yeah, now Liberty is definitely a part of that.

With only two episodes left to The Boys Season 2, there is a lot left to explore.
The Boys Season 2 Episode 6 shares a bit of Frenchie's back story, at least as far back as five years, while introducing a new Supe to the mix as a cautionary tale.
And while Homelander and Stormfront grow ever closer, Butcher and Annie begrudgingly find they might have something in common.
Let's get this out right away. Even getting a little more background on Frenchie still doesn't paint a broader picture of the guy.
It does offer an explanation as to why he has been so taken with Kimiko, though, and even revealed his entry point to working with Grace and the Boys.
She had him by the short hairs, as they say when she threatened to send his made family to supermax if he didn't rise to the challenge of joining her team.

After 15 seasons of battling demons, gods, Leviathans, and a family legacy on Supernatural, Jensen Ackles will join the cast of The Boys Season 3, according to Variety. The Amazon Prime Video comic book series returns for season 2 on Sept. 4.
“I keep wondering what I’ll do…. when @cw_supernatural finally ends this year,” Ackles announced on Instagram. “Then it hit me.” At which point in the video he’s tossed a copy of The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, while Elvis Presley’s version of the song “Soldier Boy” plays in the background.

With Supernatural targeting an end date, Jensen Ackles has lined up his next TV gig, and it's pretty super.
Amazon Prime Video confirmed Monday that the beloved actor will be joining the cast of the hit series The Boys for Season 3.
The casting news also dropped on Ackles' social media accounts.
He is set to star as Soldier Boy - the original Superhero.
After Soldier Boy fought in World War II, he became the first super celebrity, and a mainstay of American culture for decades.
Showrunner and Executive Producer of The Boys Eric Kripke also shared his thoughts on the news.

The Boys are kicking things up a notch in Season 2. When the Amazon Prime series returns on Friday, Sept. 4, “it’s a lot more intense” than the show’s freshman run, showrunner Eric Kripke said during a Comic-Con @ Home panel on Thursday.
“We worked hard to make Season 2 crazier, but also more emotional and higher-stakes,” Kripke previewed. “Everyone’s in a really tight spot. The Boys are wanted fugitives coming off of last season. They’re hunted. They’re basically totally screwed, and they’re doing their best to fight back at Vought, however they can, but Season 1 was a big loss for them.

Amazon Prime’s “The Boys” returns Sept. 4, and juuuust in case you were worried the show might pull some punches in its second season, uh no the very exact opposite is the case. The proof comes courtesy of an absolutely disgusting new clip released during the show’s Comic-Con@Home panel Thursday afternoon. Watch it and glory in the viscera above.
In the video, the team are in a speed boat, being chased by evil super ‘hero’ The Deep, whose power is controlling sea life — which he’s using to send an army of whales after them. He miscalculates however when he attempts to blockade The Boys using the Sperm Whale he’s riding as a barrier — the boys speed up and ram the boat directly into the poor whale, which as you can see in the clip, pretty much explodes in a shower of blood. Daaaamn.

Amazon Prime Video’s “The Boys” are almost back in town, and the new trailer for Season 2 promises plenty more gleefully wanton destruction for fans of the darkly comedic superhero series.
In a twist on Amazon’s typical release strategy, the first three episodes of the upcoming eight-episode sophomore season will premiere September 4. New episodes will be released every subsequent Friday, and the season finale will premiere October 9.

Say what you will about Amazon Prime’s The Boys, but it knows how to give the people what they want. And in the case of season 2’s first full trailer, that means breathtaking, near cartoonish levels of violence.
Give the two-minute clip a look below to see what we mean.
That is…uh, a lot of brains crushed by super-powered fists. Scoring the whole thing to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire” was a shrewd choice as well but it kind of works.
The Boys season 2 is set to premiere on September 4, 2020. As evidenced by that teaser, this season will follow the titular Boys in their new lives as outlaws. Yes, keeping the super-powered individuals of the world in check is the right thing to do, but it’s not necessarily the most popular thing. As just about anyone on this site can tell you: people love their superheroes.

It's going to be a long wait until September 4!
Amazon Prime Video has debuted the official teaser trailer for the second season of The Boys, the first three episodes of which will premiere on Prime Video on Friday, September 4, 2020.
New episodes will be available each Friday following, culminating in an epic season finale on October 9.
And while that rollout might shock you, there is nothing we need more in 2020 than episodic programming. I praise this decision.
We'll be able to gather around reviews like we did in the old days of the 2010s to discuss and delight in the carnage The Boys and the Supes leave behind.
Because if there's one thing we can see from the new teaser trailer, it's that things are going to be bloodier than ever.

I’ve got a crazy-ass new uncensored red-band trailer for you to watch for Amazon’s deranged superhero series The Boys. The show is based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and it looks like it’s going to be a shit-ton of fun!
The new trailer really dives into the dark and gritty vulgarity and brutality of the series. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have been developing the series and it stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as "Wee" Hughie Campbell, Karen Fukuhara as The Female, and Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk. Simon Pegg is also a part of the series as the father of Hughie, which was modeled after him in the comics.
As you’ll see, they aren’t gong to hold anything back in this show. Here’s the synopsis:

Dan Trachtenberg ("10 Cloverfield Lane") directs Amazon's live-action, subversive, superhero comic book adaptation "The Boys", co-produced by Sony Pictures TV Studios and Original Films, that started shooting May 22, 2018 in Toronto:
"...in a world where 'superheroes' exist, many are corrupted by their celebrity status, often engaging in fascist, reckless behavior, compromising the safety of the world.
"While the masked vigilantes prowl the night, someone's got to make sure the 'supes' don't get out of line...
"Introducing 'Billy Butcher', 'Wee Hughie', 'Mother's Milk', 'The Frenchman' and 'The Female' aka 'The Boys'.
"They are a 'CIA'-backed team , each one dedicated to the struggle against the most dangerous force on Earth - superpower!
"Some superheroes have to be watched. Some have to be controlled.
"And some of them - sometimes - need to be taken out of the picture..."

Amazon Studios has released the first promo poster for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s upcoming series adaptation of the comic book The Boys. The poster recreates the classic comic book cover with the main characters and it features Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as "Wee" Hughie Campbell, Karen Fukuhara as The Female, and Laz Alonzo as Mother's Milk. The Frenchman is also present, but I’m not sure who’s playing him.
The Boys takes places in a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, and centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as "the boys" who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.
Billy Butcher (Urban), who is described as "mysterious and brutal with a personal but secret agenda. He approaches Hughie (Quaid), claiming to be a shadowy government operative.

After many years of languishing in development hell, a live-action version of The Boys just gained some serious traction. However, unlike previous attempts, the project is headed to television, not the cinema. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Neal Moritz just successfully shepherded Ennis' Preacher comic series at AMC and they'll look to do the same with The Boys. However, where Preacher will air on basic cable, The Boys will air on subscription TV, meaning there'll be looser requirements from the FCC. Supernatural creator Eric Kripke will also serve as an executive producer. Written by Ennis and illustrated by Darick Robertson, The Boys follows an eclectic team of CIA contractors named Billy Butcher, Mother's Milk, 'Wee' Hughie, The Frenchman and The Female or more informally, "the Boys". In a world where superheroes exist and are very often revealed to be deranged and psychotic, Butcher and his team are tasked with keeping the superhero community in line,...
