I was really impressed with this film. The director has a great point of view - a very LA point of view. Visually taking me through all the various sections of L.A.,and making me see it through the eyes of 5 distinct/different women. Love the use of the murals within the story lines that ties to the narration of each section. This film is also different with the use of voice overs instead of having the women speak the lines during their scenes. This makes the actor's expressions, emotions come through even stronger - not mucked up with the delivery of lines. The music also fits each of the sections. Five women in different places in their lives, from different socioeconomic positions. An LA retrospective from ocean to inner city. Beautiful!
