Major blunder.

The jogger gets shot in the forehead dead centre, but the window they reckon he was shot from was over to his right, totally the wrong angle.

Carrie's Caller left me frustrated.

Warning: Spoilers
I really like this show, the actors are great, the story lines great. I would be very upset if it got cancelled. However in last night's episode "Carrie's Caller" i was completely frustrated. Perhaps it's me but I just couldn't figure out what the heck had happened. I watched the end of the show twice and concentrated very closely but still didn't 'get it'. I assume Sparky is still living and holds a high profile job. I didn't get the review of Carrie's memory at the end or why she was chosen to work the case. She was told 'you know why'. What am I missing, it's driving me crazy. Can you please, please help me out?

Carrie's Caller Presents No Satisfying Ending ***
edwagreen8 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
There is a serial killer out on the loose and he shoots his victims between the eyes. The two victims seem to have nothing in common;in fact, one is a Ph.D

Of course, the killer begins to call Carrie with all sorts of sordid details of where and when he is going to strike.

Turns out that the two victims had something in common. Misdeeds in their youth had led them to some sort of camp. It's time to warn all residents of the place that this psycho is on the loose.

For a show to be totally entertaining, you must feel the end to be satisfying. Just when you thought the culprit was captured and killed, think again. It leaves you with that up in the air feeling. You want closure.

This recipe/episode could use a lot more salt

Any storyline with a serial killer involved will garner a fair share of audience attention just like a roast of beef with mash potatoes and gravy would also be enjoyable. But as with any dinner sometimes the meat may be over/under cooked, dry, or just tough to chew and the mash potatoes may be too lumpy with some foreign substance mergered in with your potatoes that you can't quite make out what that substance is? But what really gives a good or bad dinner away for what you are expected to chew and swallow is the presentation of the meal and potatoes.

With this episode Season 1, episode 14, Carrie's so-called mysterious serial killer which she calls by her tag name "FRED", this episodes director Aaron Lipstadt, attempts to develop a cat and mouse game instead of good old fashioned phone sex to draw the audience in and it really doesn't work. At one point Carrie deliberately hangs up on her serial killer caller with a confidence that is just appalling "he'll call back" she says and so he does, angrily stating "Nicely played Carrie".

And so we the audience know there is a cat and mouse game going on but just who is the cat and who is the mouse? It was pretty easy figuring out who was getting played here during a scene when detectives Mike Costello (Michael Gaston), and Nina Inara (Daya Vaidya) interview a witness as to what he recalls that people are not who they appear to be.

Most TV crime fans enjoy a serial killer plot but there needs to be a lot more meat on the bone and why is my gravy cold? In my humble opinion as either a TV critic and/or food critic, this episode had a decent portion and plate of food but was not presented very well nor served properly so it only gets a 6 out of 10 rating.
