Whitechapel lost out to a new series on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee last night, the latest overnight data has revealed. The Rupert Penry-Jones copycat murder drama's second instalment logged 5.63m (21.2%) in the 9pm hour, adding a further 229k (1.3%) on ITV1 +1. However, BBC One's Andrew Marr-fronted The Diamond Queen dazzled 6.2m (23.4%) for its opening edition.
