Beau Bridges as good as ever
searchanddestroy-13 November 2013
Inspired by actual life of an ex con who tried to rehabilitate himself. Nothing really special here, the typical topic for a TV movie. Made for the big screen, this would have never made it. I don't think any audiences would have gone to fill the theatres. The actors are quite effective, everything is right done, I have nothing to say against this feature. Lamont Johnson is a prolific TV director, he knows what he does. Beau Bridges is brilliant, as usual, and the sequence where, discharged from the can, and driving his car, he asks to help an armored truck stopped because of an engine problem, is very exquisite.

Useless to say that this very scene actually happened.

Usaul stuff, but worth watching on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
