When an escaped tiger finds the buried body of the wealthy car dealer Archer Braddock in the woods, the CBI agents investigate the case and learn that he was terminal with cancer. He lived with his daughter Liesl and his wife Helen that he met at the support group for cancer patients and recently married with. He also expelled his son Aden from home since the teenager was drug addicted and small-time criminal. Soon Patrick exposes Helen, who is a gold digger that had faked cancer to inherit Archer's money, to Lisbon. They also learn that Archer was trying orthodox therapies to treat the cancer, and they visit Dr. Leopold Scheck's research institute and Brother Joseph, who sells strange herbs to help the patients.
