Fun Premise

A rickety old house is actually stolen one night. Two combative brother and their sister are at the center of things. It is thought that a wife perished in the house as it was being moved and so the CSI's get involved. There is a history of hatred surrounding things here and some of the most undesirable characters one could ever meet. This is a good episode because the science is back. For me, the jury is still out on Finn. She is as big a know-it-all as Hodges.

The Killer House

Nick and Sara meet a man on the street, Dwayne Hicks, who tells them that his wife Debie is missing. The last time he saw her was the last night before he went to work. When they ask his address, he shows an empty field and says that his house was stolen, probably with Debbie inside. Soon his brother Jimmy and their sister Marla arrive at the place and start arguing, and Brass take them to the station. Nick and Sara investigate the ground and Nick explains her how to move the house with jacks and a truck. Brass interviews each sibling of the dysfunctional family individually and learns how complicated their relationship is. Meanwhile Russell and Greg investigate a hit-and-run, where the victim has been run over several times. When Finn brings the police reports with the track of the destruction cause by the house on the truck, the LVPD and the CSI find the house in the middle of nowhere in the desert, and they are able to process the crime scene. When Debbie arrives at the station asking for her house, the CSI have a big surprise and shifts the investigation to another direction.

"Stealing Home" is an episode of "CSI" with a funny story. The plot is original and complex, with many twists. Most of the characters are dysfunctional members of a family, and their house has many hidden secrets. The plot is well-resolved in the end, with the CSI team discovering and solving the intriguing case. My vote is seven.
