You might think that dealing with weird supernatural events in The Spiderwick Chronicles, The Moth Diaries and TV’s Once Upon A Time would teach Sarah Bolger not to go playing with the laws of nature. Apparently not! Because she’s now signed on to co-star in Reawakening.David Gelb is directing the film, which also features Olivia Wilde, Evan Peters, Donald Glover and Mark Duplass, and chronicles the story of research students who stumble upon the secret of bringing test subjects back from the dead.Naturally, they celebrate their mastery of life and death, but clearly none of them have seen Pet Sematary or one of the many TV series and movies that have explored the terrible consequences of cheating death or tangling with the forces of mortality, because events inevitably take a turn for the sinister.Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater wrote the script for this one, and...

Sarah Bolger extending her relationship with ABC with a lead role in the network’s single-camera comedy Mixology, directed by Larry Charles from a script by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Set in the world of a sexy Manhattan bar, Mixology, from ABC Studios, chronicles the exploits of singles, five guys and five girls, in search of love — all over the course of one night. Bolger will play one of them, Janey, Jessica’s (Alexis Carra) sweet, naive, little sister from New Jersey. Tonight is her big night in the city and she is woefully unprepared for the aggressive Manhattan dating scene. CAA-repped Bolger recurs on ABC/ABC Studios’ Once Upon A Time as Princess Aurora last season starred in their Shonda Rhimes-produced pilot Gilded Lilys. Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of ‘Survivor: Philippines’.
Entertainment Weekly: Abi keeps lying about having a hidden immunity idol, and it got me thinking: In the past, after idols have been used, you have put new ones back into play. Does that mean there actually are two idols out there replacing the ones Abi and Penner used after the merge, or did you decide not to recycle the idols this time?
Jeff Probst: Typically, once an idol is played we put another one back into the game. But this season,...

Terry O'Quinn as Gavin Doran in "666 Park Avenue" (ABC/Andrew Eccles)
ABC‘s slate of new shows for fall has a strange flavor to it, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The network has about as many new shows as returning ones (if you count all the midseasons), and a good percentage of the returning offerings are a year old or less, making this look a bit like a rebuilding year.
Not only is it a rebuilding year, but it’s the year of bringing back every actor and actress who ever had a decent run on a show before. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a network’s new season slate that was so crammed with people returning from something else. If you can’t make it good, I suppose, make sure viewers recognize the faces.
It’s tricky to get a solid feel...

The outlook is not good for NBC’s “The Office.” Executive producer and show-runner Paul Lieberstein, who plays Hr rep Toby on the series, is stepping down from the show and helping only in a “reduced behind-the-scenes capacity,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Instead, Lieberstein will focus his attention on “The Farm,” an “Office” spin-off that will star Rainn Wilson and center on Dwight Schrute’s beet farm/bed-and-breakfast. (Great, because characters hanging out on a farm worked so well for “The Walking Dead.”) And, unfortunately, Dwight will have to manage without Mose, his Amish cousin. Lieberstein told Vulture they will need to find a way to explain his absence, since the person who plays him, Michael Schur, is busy writing and running “Parks and Recreation.” Lieberstein’s spin-off is in development for pilot season, which means it’s not necessarily headed to series yet. If it does, NBC hopes...

Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: One World.
Entertainment Weekly: Honestly, Jeff, I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s start with this. Forget about how it plays out down the line: Judge this move of the men all agreeing to go to Tribal Council even though they won immunity on the how, why, and when it happened in the game, and tell me where this ranks in the annals of dumb-ass self-defeating Survivor moves?
Jeff Probst: Hmm, I’d say top 10 dumb-ass moves. But more importantly,...

Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: One World.
Entertainment Weekly: Okay, Probst, you’re sitting in your tarp-covered shelter and feeling toasty and roasty next to your nice warm fire. Then the soaking and shivering other tribe comes by wanting to help themselves to your fire and shelter. By letting them in, you can be a decent human being and perhaps curry some favor for later on. By shutting them out, you can keep them weak and demoralized for your next challenge. What do you do?
Jeff Probst: I let them in.

Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: One World.
Entertainment Weekly: I have to say, I felt something was missing at the reward challenge — you! Why decide to go the Do It Yourself challenge route, and how many contingencies did you guys have to work out beforehand since you wouldn’t be on hand to officiate in case something funky happened?

Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: One World.
Entertainment Weekly: You gave the teams 60 seconds to grab supplies off the truck and Mike immediately starting stealing stuff from the women’s pile. Smart move (because he’s being crafty and hooking his team up at the expense of others) or stupid move (because he is making enemies right off the bat)? What’s your take?
Jeff Probst: It’s certainly not how I would play the game, but it is a great example of why Survivor continues to be so compelling — human nature.

I can.t be alone in finding it amusingly fitting that Jeff Probst. upcoming directing endeavor should be for a script penned by a Lost writer. And yet, from the sound of it, the film has nothing to do with islands. Two more have been added to the cast of Kiss Me, one of whom is also no stranger to television, while the other has appeared on the small screen recently, but is better known for her film work. Written by Sarnoff and directed by Probst, Kiss Me is described as a coming-of-age drama that follows a teen named Zoe (Sarah Bolger), a girl who.s stuck in a back brace due to scoliosis, and who forms a relationship with a married man, whose kids she babysits. John Corbett (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Sex and the City) is set to play the married man. And according to the Hollywood...

Jeff Probst has made a pretty solid career of being the host and producer of Survivor over the past eight or nine years. However, before he had to tell people they’d been voted off the island, he directed the film Finder’s Fee, a film about a man who finds a winning lottery ticket. That film starred Ryan Reynolds, James Earl Jones, and Matthew Lillard. Now, with Probst‘s return to the director’s chair comes a whole new cast, of which Jenna Fischer (The Office) and Rita Wilson (Sleepless in Seattle) are the newest members.
This new film, Kiss Me, which Probst is also producing, tells the story of Zoe (Sarah Bolger), who is trying to navigate an especially turbulent time in her life. Forced to wear a back brace to combat her scoliosis, Zoe must also deal with her strict mother (Wilson) and her growing and complex...

Seeing as how Survivor: One World will be premiering on Feb. 15, and seasons 25 and 26 of the reality franchise have already been renewed by CBS, you would think Jeff Probst would take some time off to smell the roses. Think again! Not only does the Emmy-winning host have a daytime talk show launching in September, but it was also recently announced that he will be directing his second feature film, titled Kiss Me. Now, Probst is offering new details about both projects.

Jeff Probst feels he's already survived the daytime-talk wars to a degree, months before his own entry premieres.
A Primetime Emmy winner each of the past four years, the host of CBS' "Survivor" -- which starts its 24th round Wednesday, Feb. 15 -- will be in league with Katie Couric, Ricki Lake and comedian Steve Harvey in launching a syndicated weekday show this fall. The competition to land stations and time periods got so thick, he's just happy to have made the cut.
"I'm not in the full-on battle zone where the guys who are selling the show are," Probst tells Zap2it, "but I was just one step removed. They kept me pretty updated, and it was really crazy. There were all these shows and only certain time slots, and everybody vying for them ... and everybody having something different to offer.
