From “Cheers” to “Frasier,” Kelsey Grammer’s Frasier Crane was a mainstay of comedy TV for 20 years, from the ’80s to the early-aughts. Now, after an equal amount of time off the air, Grammer is back in the role for Paramount+’s “Frasier.”
The streaming series is a revival-meets-reboot that once again spins off Grammer’s character with a new cast of colorful characters. Some original “Frasier” stars will return to guest star. However, David Hyde Pierce won’t return as Niles and John Mahoney, who played their father Martin, passed away in 2018.
That means Frasier – along with “Frasier” fans – will be surrounded by new faces. With that in mind, here’s a handy guide to the new “Frasier” cast and characters, including where you might have the actors before.

For those anxious to see if the man behind one of the strangest cult classics in film history still has what it takes to delight and confuse audiences in equal measure, the new Big Shark trailer should offer plenty of hope. The clip starts as a classic heart-pumping action movie, with an intense boxing sequence and big text graphics...

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. Tommy Wiseau has directed his first feature film since The Room, and the trailer for the project — dubbed Big Shark — is out now.
Per Variety, Big Shark follows New Orleans firefighters Georgie, Patrick, and Tim as they attempt to save their city from the titular fishy menace. In addition to writing and directing the film, Wiseau stars alongside Isaiah Laborde and Mark Valeriano. Wonderfully, the trailer for the picture looks like it was made in iMovie, with ridiculous red text assaulting the screen over dramatic action music before its stars are seen running through the streets of Nola, where the shark inexplicably manages to chase them.
Wiseau has big plans for Big Shark. The film will debut at a Portland screening on April 2nd before hitting other markets hosted by Prytania Theatres, with the filmmaker slated to appear at each event.

Tommy Wiseau can’t jump the shark: He is the shark.
The “Room” writer-director-star (auteur?) is officially back with his first feature film in 20 years. “Big Shark,” following the craze of the B-movie “Sharknado” franchise and spinoffs, follows three firefighters as they work to save New Orleans from one massive shark.
The tagline reads: “Can New Orleans survive?”
The trailer has been playing for audiences at theatrical screenings of “The Room” for the last few months, but the official trailer is now online. “Big Shark” will begin a nationwide rollout April 2 with a debut screening at Cinema 21 in Portland, Oregon, followed by New Orleans (April 28 and 29), San Francisco (May 5 and 6), Los Angeles (June 2 and 3), and at the Village East by Angelika in New York City.
Wiseau is set to appear in person for branded “Pre Premier” screenings, with the “Official Final Cut Version” of “Big Shark” being released only after an eight-month theatrical rollout window.

Tommy Wiseau is back behind the camera again. The director and star of “The Room” has debuted the trailer for “Big Shark,” his first follow-up feature to his trademark 2003 cult melodrama.
“Big Shark” follows three firefighters, Georgie, Patrick and Tim, as they work to save New Orleans from an attack by — you guessed it — a very big shark.
While this first look at “Big Shark” is only now being debuted online, the trailer has already been playing for audiences at theatrical screenings of “The Room” over recent months.
“Big Shark” will kick off its rollout on April 2 with a debut screening at Cinema 21 in Portland, Ore. Screenings will follow over the coming months, with a tentative schedule of engagements hosted by Prytania Theatres at Canal Place in New Orleans (April 28 and 29), the Balboa Theatre in San Francisco, Calif. (May 5 and 6), the Landmark Westwood in Los Angeles (June 2 and 3) and the...

Rose Byrne is detailing what it was like getting Dolly Parton’s blessing for Seriously Red and transforming into her Elvis Presley.
In an interview with Collider, published online Saturday, the Insidious star said she drove from Atlanta to Chattanooga, Tennessee to meet with the singer’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, because “we knew without Dolly there was just no way we could do it [the film].”
“We had to try to get this script in [to] her, and to get her blessing, and to see if she could help us get the music,” she said. “If we didn’t have the music, it would’ve been very different. I don’t know what the movie would’ve become, but it certainly wouldn’t have been a Dolly Parton impersonator.”
Byrne said Nozell, who was a champion of the film, got it to Parton. “Within a few weeks, she said, ‘Yeah, I really love it.

Exclusive: The Frasier sequel series for Paramount+ has rounded out its series regular cast by adding Toks Olagundoye (The Neighbors).
From writers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, the multi-camera comedy is executive produced by Kelsey Grammer who is reprising his signature character, psychiatrist-turned-radio host Frasier Crane. The sequel sees Frasier (Grammer) off to a different city with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.
Olagundoye will play Olivia, head of the psych department at an Ivy League university. She projects confidence, warmth, and professionalism—in other words, the opposite of how completely unglued she feels on the inside. Olivia must contend daily with her colleague (and Frasier’s old college buddy) Alan (Nicholas Lyndhurst), who resents Olivia’s seniority over him. The two of them disagree on just about everything, but they both admire Frasier—and each hopes to use...

Advocacy groups are calling on MGM Television to cancel upcoming series “Ring Nation.”
Hosted by Wanda Sykes, the unscripted surveillance camera series uses Amazon’s Ring home security cameras for a clip series, produced by “Live Pd” producers Big Fish Entertainment and Ring. The series premieres September 26 and will feature viral videos shared by people from their video doorbells and smart home cameras. Promoted clips include neighbors helping neighbors, marriage proposals, military reunions, and animal moments.
Ring founder and inventor Jamie Siminoff previously appeared on “Shark Tank” as a contestant and later a Guest Shark.
However, now more than 40 racial justice, privacy rights, and worker advocacy organizations are calling on Poznick and MGM Television Chairman Mark Burnett to cancel the series. Per the official letter, the “Cancel Ring Nation” campaign “sounds the alarm about the dangerous precedent MGM is setting in normalizing and promoting Amazon’s harmful network of surveillance cameras.

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are officially married! Hyland's "Modern Family" costar Sofia Vergara first confirmed the news Aug. 20 on Instagram, before the couple later posted photos from the big day (with the bride wearing Vera Wang). After postponing the wedding twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the couple married in front of their friends and family at the Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, CA, on Aug. 20, according to a photo shared by another one of the actor's "Modern Family" costars, Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Ferguson later revealed on social media that he actually officiated the wedding for his onscreen niece, calling it "an honor."
The couple's wedding party also included Ciara Robinson, who served as Hyland's maid of honor, and bridesmaids Vanessa Hudgens and Gg Magree. The women celebrated Hyland with a bachelorette party in Mexico in July.

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and Bachelorette alum Wells Adams tied the knot on Saturday after pandemic-postponing their wedding twice.
The newlyweds had a beautiful and intimate outdoor ceremony at Sunstone Winery near Santa Barbara, California. Modern Family stars like Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nolan Gould and Julie Bowen were all in attendance to support their former costar on her special day.
Hyland and Adams first Twitter-flirted in 2016 and began officially dating in 2017. The lovebirds announced their engagement in 2019 when Adams posted a romantic clip of his stunning oceanside proposal on Instagram. The Bachelor In Paradise star captioned his video with sweet Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors lyrics, “I’ll be Jonny, you be June. But forever.”
The couple had originally planned to get married in 2020 before the outbreak of Covid-19.
Adams joked in August 2021 that he and his then-fianceé would “go to Vegas or the courthouse” if there were any more wedding setbacks.

Amazon Studios is heading to the altar.
The streamer has landed the rights to an untitled wedding comedy from writer-director Nick Stoller that has Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon attached to star.
The trio are also producing via their respective banners: Ferrell is producing with Jessica Elbaum via Gloria Sanchez; Stoller will produce with his Global Solutions shingle partner Conor Welch; and Witherspoon is producing with Lauren Neustadter via Hello Sunshine, with the company’s Ashley Strumwasser exec producing.
Logline details are being kept under the veil, but the premise involves two weddings that are booked at the same venue on the same weekend.

Few have loomed so large and for so long over the entertainment industry as famously autocratic late billionaire Sumner Redstone, who passed last year at 97 years old after years of illness and isolation, not to mention rampant rumors of incapacitation and bitter infighting among his family and a couple of his significantly younger former girlfriends and care takers.
