To mark the release of The Last Kingdom: Season 2 on 8th May, we’ve been given 3 copies to give away on Blu-ray.
Set in the year 878, the second series sees fearless and instinctive warrior Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon, American Horror Story, Blood Ransom) continue his fight for his native land of Northumbria. Uhtred, having given his sword to King Alfred (David Dawson, Peaky Blinders), despite his upbringing by the invading pagan Danes, embarks on a voyage north to reclaim his own fate: to avenge Earl Ragnar’s death and recapture his ancestral lands of Bebbanburg.
Alfred’s conviction to create a united England is stronger than ever, and he sets his sights on the wild lands of the north, which have fallen into chaos and rebellion. It is a dangerous time for Saxon and Dane alike, but Alfred champions a new king – a Christian Dane – to unite the tribes.

Have you ever woken up next to someone and thought, “Oh, what?” because you didn’t want to deal with the aftermath? That’s what the film “The Morning After” is all about. It follows the stories of eight people – dealing with waking up with someone new or familiar and how they handle their need for instant gratification, intimacy issues and infidelities. The film stars and offers up some terrific performances from Michelle Lombardo (“Entourage”, “Californication”), Vanessa Evigan (“Blood Ransom”), and Roberto Aguire (“Boulevard”, “Struck by Lightning”). Filmmaker Shanra J. Kehl is riding high on her directorial debut, as the film earned her the Spirit of Independents Award at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival earlier this year. Since it’s debut in 2015, “The Morning...

Erik Matti (Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles, Rigodon), the maestro Filipino director, really knocked it out the park with his 2013 hired-assassin thriller On the Job. Not one to rest on his laurels, his latest crime flick, Honor Thy Father (not-related to The Godfather spin off) has also been garnering much praise among critics.
But Matti is nothing if not versatile, and as such has now decided to turn his attention towards the martial arts genre with the upcoming film, Buy Bust. Although still just in pre-production, it has already been announced that the film will feature American-Filipino mixed-martial arts Ufc star Brandon Vera (Kamandag), and Filipino-Australian female actor, Anne Curtis (Blood Ransom, The Gifted).
Information regarding the film’s plot remains sparse, but if we were to hazard a guess we would expect gangsters, drug-lords and of course ball-busting police officers, all no doubt served up with a heavy dose of...

Blood Ransom often feels older than it is. Sure, many of the effects are CGI, but the film's setup hearkens back to when the properties of vampirism had room to shimmer under the eye — when the creatures were less predictable, instead of codified for video-game precision. The bloodsuckers here live by different rules, the broad strokes of which a title card covers at the outset but which are nonetheless never quite clear. Crystal (Philippines star Anne Curtis) has recently turned vampire, which means she has seven days to kill a human or else she'll die in agony. But the human she's meant to kill, Jeremiah (Alexander Dreymon), has liberated her from her vampire master, and they plan to run away together — him unaware of her condition. Pursuing them a...

Jack O’Connell ("Skins"), Alexander Dreymon ("Blood Ransom") and Dane DeHaan ("Chronicle") are screen-testing to star in the Angelina Jolie-directed "Unbroken" at Universal Pictures and Walden Media.
Based on Laura Hillenbrand's novel, the story follows Louis Zamperini - a member of the American track team that competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Years later, he survived a harrowing plane crash on the water - only to become a Pow in a Japanese prison camp during WWII.
Matthew Baer and Erwin Stoff are producing. This marks Jolie's second effort as director following "In The Land Of Blood And Honey". Shooting aims to begin in the early fall.

Exclusive: Universal Pictures, Walden Media and director Angelina Jolie are getting closer to the start line on Unbroken, the incredible story of Louis Zamperini based on the Laura Hillenbrand bestselling book. I’m hearing that three young actors–Alexander Dreymon (Blood Ransom), 300: Rise Of An Empire co-star Jack O’Connell and Chronicle and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Dane DeHaan–are screen testing to play Zamperini as a young man. I don’t know that Jolie won’t widen her short list–she has met with reams of young actors already to get to this point–but I do believe this has the potential to be a career making job. The actor will play Zamperini from the time he was a wunderkind member of the American track team that competed in the 1936 Munich Olympics, to his survival of a harrowing plane crash on the water, to becoming a Pow...
