In an exclusive conversation with Filmipop.com, Arshad Warsi, Sagarika Ghatge, Divya Dutta and debutant director Aparnaa Singh talked about their upcoming eco-thriller film Irada and their characters in the film and more. Tell us about your film and your characters in your film. Aparnaa: It's a film which has a stellar cast and a deep subject. It's had thriller and nuances of what's happening in Punjab and its premises. It's a great story and you'll enjoy it. Divya: Well my character is totally characterless in this movie. I am playing the negative role of Cm who wants Arshad's character to do his job and lots of mean stuff to do and it's something I haven't done before. So it's a different experience for me to play this character. Arshad: I am playing a cop and I enjoy playing them actually. It was a great fun to have somebody like you watch all the time,...

After having starred in the last year's horror flick Alone, this year, the gorgeous Bipasha Basu will be seen as an Intelligence Officer in the upcoming comedy film Bhai Must Be Crazy. The film is being directed by the debutant Vinay Sharma (who had earlier scripted the Sanjay Dutt- Vivek Oberoi- Arshad Warsi starrer Zila Ghaziabad). Mika Singh has been roped in for composing the music. Speaking about the film, Vinay Sharma said that Bhai Must Be Crazy is about Bipasha's character chasing Pankaj Kapur, who plays an international don in the film. He added that Bipasha Basu, who will be making an entry with paragliding, has some solid action in the climax. He reasoned that he signed Bipasha Basu because he wanted a tough actress for the role and she fitted the role perfectly. Besides Pankaj Kapur and Bipasha Basu, Bhai Must Be Crazy also stars Sunil Grover...

It was always expected that Lootera would primarily find audience in premium multiplexes of the country. Given the glowing pre-release reviews and insiders testimonials, the film had seemed to set for an opening around the 50% mark. While footfalls were a tad lesser than that to begin with, there was good escalation over the weekend owing to positive word of mouth. This resulted in the first week collections of around 19 crores which gives a film a good enough ground to build a respectable total from here.
While this Vikramaditya Motwane directed film was never quite slated to hit the roof, a lot would now depend on the weekday collections for the film to see a higher box office billing. More than just the commercials involved, it is the kind of credibility that everyone associated with it has managed to build with Lootera since it is a classy product. At the end...

Mumbai, April 29: Actor Vivek Oberoi, who will next be seen sharing screen space with superstar Hrithik Roshan in "Krrish 3", minces no words in praising his co-star.

The 36-year-old is confident that with "Krrish 3", Hrithik "will surpass all his previous achievements".
Vivek's past few films, including "Kismet Love Paisa Dilli" and "Zila Ghaziabad", didn't elicit the desired response. No wonder the actor is overwhelmed with an opportunity to work in the sci-fi superhero extravaganza.

Sanjay Dutt's quirky unconventional cop's part in Zila Ghaziabad may not have gone down too well with Mumbai's critics. But the film has been liked in Up and Bihar. And Sanjay Dutt has fallen in love with his character of the real-life unconventional cop Pritam Singh. Sanjay Dutt will now produce a film where he will again play the notorious real-life cop from Ghaziabad. The film entitled Pritam has been written by the Zila Ghaziabad writer Vinay Sharma. However, there is an interesting twist to the tale, as Vinod Bachchan the producer of Zila Ghaziabad has planned a sequel to the film. Confirming these developments the Zila Ghaziabad writer Vinay Sharma says, "Yes, Mr. Sanjay Dutt has decided to carry the character of the unorthodox cop Pritam Singh forward. He will be playing the same character in a film called Pritam which Dutt Saab is producing. I've already written the script.

While Kai Po Che is an amazing hit, Zila Ghaziabad has not managed to bring in that much collection for the producers. Kai Po Che collected Rs 3.7 crores on Friday, Rs 5.5 crores on Saturday and 6.9 crores on Sunday. This is actually quite high for any movie, but it is spectacularly good for this weekend, fo...

The people of Ghaziabad are not too pleased with the way they have been presumably portrayed in this Friday's cops-as-robbers thriller Zila Ghaziabad. The town on the outskirts of Delhi has lately been witness to protests from the local people who feel portraying their town as the den of crime is wrong. The protests are similar to what Wasseypur witnessed when the film on the rather adventurous supposedly crime-infested life in Jharkhand was released. Talking about the premature protests, producer Vinod Bachchan says, "But the people of Wasseypur were upset after they saw Anurag Kashyap's film. In my case, they're jumping to the conclusion that Zila Ghaziabad portrays their town in a bad light without seeing the film." So far the film has not been screened for any audience. But now on Wednesday, Vinod Bachchan along with the film's writer Vinay Sharma will travel to Ghaziabad to show the film to a selected audience.

Geeta Basra, who had been out of news for quite some time, is back with a shocker (quite literally). When she was dancing atop a fully lit up auto rickshaw for a dance number in her upcoming film Zila Ghaziabad, she literally got a shock!
Talking about the incident, she said that even though the rickshaw was fitted with lights which seemed a bit dangerous, the shock wasn't anything major. She added that the said song was a typical Indian rural song with all the quintessential latkas and jhatkas.

Not just was there a romantic angle (Minissha Lamba) added to his track, a full-fledged song was picturised on the duo as well. Read More...
