Man Eating Super Croc (2012)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

If the title makes you think of those horrid SyFy productions like MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUSS then that's understandable but this documentary first aired on the Animal Planet and is without question one of the strangest and scariest bits of truth that you're going to find. The documentary covers the death of a young girl who was eaten by a crocodile in the Philippeans. Two expert croc hunters go out to capture it and when they do the monster is the biggest ever captured in the wild going over twenty-feet. The documentary shows the capture and the effort it took to transfer the giant monster to a different location but then the real horror sets in when they realize that they might have captured a smaller one than what did the killing. The size of this crocodile is just so jaw- dropping that you can't help but have your blood turn cold knowing that there's possibly one that ten feet longer still out there possibly stalking people. The footage of the capture and transfer were full of drama as it's obvious these people weren't ready for such a huge challenge and they way they pulled it off was something incredible to see. This footage is without question the highlight of the documentary but the threat that's still out there makes you wonder how much is still unknown in certain parts of the world.
