If you think this episode is bad, but the pilot doesn't, you just don't want to accept that the show isn't on the wane.

This episode was one of the ones that made me laugh the most of the season, although past characters or ideas are being recycled, it's not a bad thing, because they did it in an excellent way. Retake the type of plots like that of past seasons, simple, sufficiently creative and that attract the viewer with their ingenuity, stupidity and personality of the protagonists, it is something quite good to show that the series is not in decline, because they are only taking a break from the serious or "important" in the history of the series, I'm just saying that even if the episode isn't a masterpiece, it's entertaining and memorable, at least for me.

Great premise but something feels off

Another solid episode overall in the series coupled with one of the worst cold opens they have done.to date and some really surprisingly corny jokes that make it feel more like an episode of solar opposites but generally the episode was very entertaining however the constant fourth wall breaks and references to the decline in quality really take away from the overall enjoyment we get it it's hard to make a show feel as original in the sixth season as it was in the first it doesn't mean you have to bring it up every episode it just shoots the episode in the foot right from the gecko. Loved the vat of sun a great way to end the episode.

Phoning it in.

"Now run!" When the unironic use of one of the most basic and overused tropes of writing is supposed to be some sort of climax of an episode, you know you're not dealing with top tier writing.

It's not that there aren't any elements in there that are decently relevant to the continued development of the characters. It's not that there aren't any creative uses and combinations of concepts, or a lack of social commentary. It is that the execution lacks all conviction.

To me, it feels like creating R&M episodes has become a chore rather than a passion for the writers. I hope they can rekindle their love for R&M in working on season seven, because at this point I am expecting new R&M episodes to be just ok.

The closest thing to a classic Rick and Morty adventure this season
evansjoshyr7 December 2022
This episode was a lot of fun. The best way I can describe this episode is a look at the character's character development and applying it to the classic formula from the first two seasons. The result is the best of both worlds. We get a suspiciously humble, agreeable Rick, helping a capable, skeptical Morty. The result is a Rick and Morty that together well with minimal arguing. Part of me is relieved they're getting along, while on the other hand, I can definitely see a twist of some sort happening in the finale where it's revealed we haven't been following our Rick. Either way, this episode is great if you're looking for a very fun, simple plot with many laughs and a suspiciously functioning Rick and Morty relationship.

This episode was overall a nice ideia, fun things trough it and most of all, not focusing at last on beth or summer. The ending part, after the credits of the hotdogs made me laugh a lot!

Although we have the same complaints about the same people that love to come here and criticize the show on each episode....... I loved this one! It's that premise of Morty doing something that feels normal and safe and in the end a huge catastrophe emerges. Plain and simple fun. To the same guys complaining, saying the show is going downhill, do us all a favor and stop seeing Rick and Morty, we really don't need this negativity around an awesome thing.

Warning: Spoilers
Despite on of the more eclectic casts that the show has ever had, particularly from an English perspective, episode nine of this season of "Rick and Morty" couldn't quite maintain the comedy.

Against Rick's (Justin Roiland) advice, Morty (Justin Roiland) accepts a sacred sword from one of the Knights of the Sun. Morty is happy for some adventure until he is told the price for swearing his oath by a fellow Knight (David Mitchell). Trying to extricate himself he accidentally becomes the new king and decides to disband the order. Unfortunately, the Knights of the Sun actually do an important job, keeping the alien races of the Solar system in order and without them war soon breaks out.

So, somebody over at "Rick and Morty" really likes "Peep Show" then. David Mitchell, Robert Webb and Matt King all providing voices in this one. They're joined by Daniel Radcliffe as the forth Knight, as well as a big role for Jack Black as the Viscount of Venus, one whose ambition grows when he's out from under the Knights of the Sun. No real role for the rest of the family this week, nor an A/B story structure. It's all on Rick and Morty's adventure and the fun that can be mined from that.

For me, it started off really funny, but fell away as the episode ran on. Never to a point I thought it was less than good, but not as good as it would have been if it maintained the hit rate of it's opening scenes.

Why am I always the first to review?
ericstevenson6 December 2022
This episode features Rick and Morty going to eat on the Moon. They are then summoned to the Sun by knights. Morty was courteous enough that they find him worthy to be their king. Everything seems to go well until they find out Morty has to cut off his penis. I really had no idea this would be the whole episode. They've given us plot changes before. I love how Morty questions if this is the real Rick.

It's also great that he asks if they should just switch Universes again. Interacting with the other planets really does seem like an obvious idea. I never thought about it until now! It seems like this is building up with Rick's character development. Then again, maybe he will turn out to be a Rick from another Universe or a robot/clone. Maybe he's Rick Prime! ***1/2.

The first step for Rick, but also the first step for the final seasons.

Warning: Spoilers
The episode in premise wants to be an episodic chapter of rick and morty, but it is not so, you have not noticed that the ideas are running out and that surprise the audience that only follows rick and morty by how "Edgys or Bordelines" they can be, they are no longer the main audience they want to reach, Now they are serious about writing what is slowly redemption for Rick.

Which, I think is perfect, although this episode may feel out of place, it is because it is something different, it has the cliche premise that as a basic consumer of R & M you need, but with the fact that rick does not want to be an asshole and that he is willing to change, I would like the writers not to be made backwards with this idea because if they know how to implement it in these final episodes, At most this show would have 2 more seasons left, and it should go as it is.

A show so big that it marked a before and after in this time.

Hmm...

Warning: Spoilers
Definitely the weakest episode of the season so far, that I can agree on. But like, one of the worst in the whole show? Some of you are really bitter about it, like it's some of the worst television ever made. It's not. Not by a long shot.

That being said, it is a bit strange from a writing standpoint. I feel like if Rick realty is trying to be sincere, it's because he's actually trying using whatever he took away from therapy, right? It's weird for him to act like this, but I don't know that it's totally unrealistic. There are a couple of possibilities (if I'm not overthinking it that is), so maybe the finale will make this one even better.

I'm just glad to have a Rick and Morty adventure! I've liked this season quite a bit myself, but seeing just the two of them again was refreshing. My only real criticism is that some of it just wasn't funny. I laughed quite a bit in the last act though, and I so like the concept quite a bit.

Another fresh, creative turn for the series. Fingers crossed the writers nail the finale.
