The match between the Submission Squad (Evan Gelistico and Pierre Abernathy) and the team of Davey Vega and Gary the Barn Owl (Gary Jay), intended as a showcase for the Lethal Wrestling Alliance (now known as St. Louis Anarchy) promotion, flopped and is widely considered to be the worst match in CHIKARA history. Despite the team of Pierre Abernathy and Evan Gelistico being named the Submission Squad, Gelistico won the match for his team by pinning Davey Vega with a pumphandle piledriver. The fans immediately chanted "Don't come back! Don't come back!" after the match ended. Gelistico tried confronting a heckler in the crowd, until the heckler flipped him off and Gelistico backed down.
The match between Player Uno (Nicolas Dansereau) and Twiggy was for the Inter Species Wrestling Championship, a promotion in Quebec, Canada. It was the third of what would ultimately be seven successful title defenses for Player Uno, as he won the title in February 2008 and would hold it for 546 days, which makes him the second shortest-reigning ISW Champion, behind Viking (617 days), Giant Tiger (819 days) and Izzie Deadyet (1078 days), and only ahead of Twiggy (363 days).
Although Austin Aries (Daniel Solwold) was on Team EPIC WAR on Night I, he was announced as representing Ring of Honor in the Rey de Voladores (King of Flyers) elimination match.
In the F1RST Family's promo before their match with Team F.I.S.T. (Icarus (Ronald Grams), Gran Akuma (Edward Jones) and Chuck Taylor (Dustin Howard)) , they talked about how similar the two teams' names are. Darin Corbin said that the "R" in their name stood for "Respect, Resilience and Wrestling," until Arik Cannon and Ryan Cruz explained that "wrestling" is spelled with a "W." So, Corbin said that it stood for, "Respect, Resilience and RASSLIN'," and proceeded to cut an old-fashioned Southern wrestling promo about destroying their opponents, complete with an exaggerated accent.
Chuck Taylor locks a bodyscissors on Ryan Cruz and grabs onto Icarus' hand, which is illegal, and commentator Mike Quackenbush (Mike Spillane) says, "Somewhere Irwin R. Schyster is smiling," a reference to how Mike Rotunda, in that gimmick, would often grab the rope illegally to add pressure to a hold.
