- The Last Days of Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos tells the untold story of the last 72 hours of the Marcos dynasty.
- An untold story of the last 72 hours of the Marcoses inside Malacañang Palace before being exiled to Hawaii, during the 1986 People Power Revolution starring Cesar Montano as Ferdinand Marcos, Ruffa Gutierrez as Imelda Marcos, Diego Loyzaga as Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr, Cristine Reyes as Imee Marcos and Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos.
- Maid in Malacañang depicts the other side of the historic bloodless "EDSA Revolution" in the Philippines in 1986. The reaction of the Marcos family to the betrayals of their allies and the opposition to their rule during the three-day saga was presented through the eyes of their loyal yet very disciplined household personnel (Karla Estrada, Elizabeth Oropresa, and Beverly Salviejo portray the real-life Marcos maids Crisanta, Lucy, and Biday). The movie humanizes the demonized Marcoses, specially Ferdinand and Imelda (Cesar Montano and Ruffa Gutierrez) on how they express their love for their children, how they treat their household and how they run the government. The film pushes the viewers on the necessity to analyze the unfolding of events right before their eyes. It provokes a discussion and leaves the viewers to make their own conclusions as they correlate the stories of the Marcos loyalists' story with the Marcos antagonists and the Philippines' situation today. It triggers so many questions and attempts to provide possible answers as to why the Marcos children Imee (Cristine Reyes), Bongbong (Diego Loyzaga) and Irene (Ella Cruz) maintain their love and devotion to their parents, specially to their father, and how millions of Filipinos maintain their loyalty to the Marcoses. The 1986 EDSA was bloodless because of the Marcoses as well? Kudos to Writer and Director Darrel Yap for this creation that brought the Filipinos back in the cinemas.
- Imee Marcos flew back to the Philippines from Singapore at the request of her father, President Ferdinand Marcos. When Imee arrives at the Malacañang Palace, she learns that her brother Bongbong foiled a plot to assassinate the first family. The family struggles with the betrayal of several high-ranking officials, including several palace staff, while citizens are amassing at EDSA.
A snap election was held on February 7 in which Marcos won to allay fears that he was losing control of the government, but the results were widely regarded as fraudulent by NAMFREL. The inaugurations of Corazon Aquino and Ferdinand Marcos were held concurrently, but TV and radio media halted the broadcasts for Marcos' inauguration. Food supplies to the palace were cut-off by the rebels while the Marcos siblings were trying to convince their parents to leave. Both parents were hesitant to leave, however, Irene pleads with her father through Imee, while Bongbong assures his mother that someday they will come back.
The Marcoses gathered together with all of the palace staff, and Ferdinand bid a final farewell. Imee ordered the staff to put on yellow bands made from the cutouts of her mother's gowns in order to save them from an angry mob. As the Marcoses left, people stormed the palace, looting and destroying its premises.
The Marcos family wants to go to Ilocos Norte but incoming President Aquino demands that the family leave the Philippines, thus, their exile in Hawaii. The final scene shows the real-life palace staff, including the Presidential Security Command, as well as the three maids, as a tribute to those who served during the Marcos family.
