..and that's hopefully where they both are now.
Two young schoolgirls go missing from their village, Maxine Carr believes her partner Ian Huntley may be connected, so she offers to give him a false alibi.
I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to watch it, when I think of all of the crimes from my lifetime, this one surely ranks as one of the worst, one of the sickest, most depraved.
Twenty years on, an interesting subject for a drama. It's a very uncomfortable watch, but it's well made, well acted, it's similar to Des, in that it feels quite factual, it doesn't feel overly dramatised.
Jemma Carlton and Scott Reid were both excellent as Ian and Maxine, visually the pair were very accurate.
It's a chilling start, sickening story, but well made, 8/10.
