The documentary asserts that the hypothesis about Allosaurus using its jaw as a hatchet to kill prey is a "new and controversial" idea. This idea has been proposed over a decade before the documentary aired and has since been dismissed by more up to date research.
At different points, the documentary states that Allosaurus weighed 2.5 tons and 15 tons. The mistake is repeated with the Diplodocus, which is stated to be 15 tons in one scene and 30 or 40 tons in another. The lower estimates are more accurate.
In CGI clips, the wing feathers of raptor dinosaurs are shown growing from the side of their hands, along their third fingers, making all three fingers visible. In reality, these feathers were attached to the second finger and the third finger would have been hidden.
Certain animated segments show dinosaurs walking in grass, despite the presenter stating that grass hasn't evolved yet.
When Spinosaurus is referred to, an outdated stock image is shown of an early 2010s reconstruction of the animal. 2014 findings have suggested Spinosaurus had shorter hind legs and 2020 findings have shown it had a tall ridge running along its tail, which are not present on the image.
