A lot of fun.

While this film is hardly groundbreaking since the characters are all recycled, this is an incredibly cute little short. It picks up from the end of "Tangled" where you see that Rapunzel and Eugene are destined to marry and live happily ever after. Here in "Tangled Ever After", it picks up at the wedding where the two are about to be joined. Oddly, they pick their friend, a horse, to be the ring-bearer. Unfortunately, disaster strikes and the rings are lost--and the film shows the horse and his buddy, the chameleon, on a crazed adventure to get those rings! Despite the brevity of the plot, the film gets big kudos for being funny and quite enjoyable throughout. Well worth seeing.

Tangled Ever After is a great continue of the movie Tangled,showing us Rapunzul and Flynn Riders wedding.I realised something when I saw this short on before Beauty And The Beast started,there trying to bring short before movies back,and they seem to be doing a good job of it,Disney are doing,Pixar are doing it,there's a series of Toy Story Shorts happening and Matt Groening also announced that they are doing Simpson Shorts,it really gets you ready for the movie.

Flynn Rider and Rapunzels wedding day is going exactly as plan,except for one thing,they should not have put Maximus and Pascal in charge of the rings.

A sweet, romantic and amusing short

I heard of this short after having read reviews of it right here on IMDb and I spent ages wondering how on Earth I was going to watch it until I looked at the back of my 'Cinderella Diamond Edition' DVD case and saw that the short was included as a bonus feature. I was thrilled about the fact that viewing it was easier than I thought and I enjoyed 'Tangled,' so this film undoubtedly appealed to me, despite Rapunzel having shorter brown hair instead of her long golden locks but it made sense to a certain extent.

This short has several references to 'Tangled' such as the poster designers not getting Eugene's nose right, floating lanterns and Maximus the horse (who was just as funny here as he was in the main film) being hit with frying pans as a nod to Rapunzel hitting Eugene with one. I liked Maximus imagining the kingdom being blown up when he loses the rings as well as Pascal the chameleon's colour changes. Maximus and Pascal's attempts at retrieving the rings were intelligently executed and a right laugh, especially Maximus accidentally dressing in a women's dress, high heels, make-up and a hat only to attract a male horse, Pascal getting his tongue stuck to an ice sculpture and the two of them leaping over the burning chicken to avoid the 'tidal wave' of wine that seemingly extinguishes the fire. I also liked Maximus' shocked expression at the end when Eugene offers Rapunzel and the guests some cake after Maximus unintentionally causes it to roll away.

All in all, this short was well worth watching and it made me laugh a lot on my first viewing. 9/10.

Hilarious!

Tangled for me was the best Disney film in a long time, so I knew I wanted to see Tangled Ever After. And I loved it just as much as Tangled. It is beautifully animated, the sceneries are not as stunning as those of Tangled but they are still beautiful, it all looks very colourful and the characters are very well modelled. The music is suitably jaunty, the writing is delightfully witty with Eugene's dialogue at the start very amusing especially regarding his nose and the sight gags with Pascal and Maximus are hilarious, very couple-of-laughs-a-minute. The story is fast paced, cute and charming surrounding around Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding, and I loved the characters, Rapunzel is adorable and I liked that the Queen had a line to say. But the stars of the show are Eugene whose lines are wonderfully droll with his personality here sticking true to that of Tangled, and Maximus who proves that a character can steal the show without saying a word. Pascal is also very endearing and fun, though I found Maximus funnier. Overall, hilarious, perfect to go with the film. 10/10 Bethany Cox

No Disappointment

Being a huge Tangled fan, I was really worried about the release of a sequel. I feared it would be cheesy and stupid, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Tangled Ever After. I loved it! It was so cute and made me laugh in several parts. Pascal and especially Max were hilarious as they ran around the kingdom trying to catch the wedding rings. If i had one minor complaint, it would be that Eugene made a couple selfish remarks. Since he turned a new leaf I thought he should appear to be kinder? Even though it was for a comedic effect, it bothered me for some reason... Overall this film is cute, funny, and a very satisfying ending to Tangled!

This is the story Tangled Ever After. In this movie, Rapunzel and Eugene get marry! Everybody is blessing. Eugene's horse and Rapunzel's chameleon carry their rings. However flowers are in the horse. He sneezed and the rings go out. They get in patient and follow it. They are in a lot of trouble when they follow it. What will happen to them? Can a marriage ceremony be finished safely?

I really like movie of Tangled. I saw it in a theater. I remember that how I was excited by this movie. Therefore I saw it again and again by DVD. When I found this Tangled Ever After, I was so happy. Tangled is interesting usual. I like the animals of this story. They have really nice humor. The people are also. There are a lot of scenes I can laugh and be happy.

Please watch this story after you see the movie of Tangled. You will have fun time!

This short was hilarious! Although it was missing some of the key elements to Tangled. I wish it would've focused on Eugene and Rapunzel more. But I loved watching Maximus and Pascal try to get the rings back.

502nd Review: A Fun Chase Short

We loved Tangled and this short is six and a half minutes of fun with Maximilian the horse and Pascal the chameleon at the Royal Wedding.

It has the same superb level of graphics, sound, and above all tons of imagination and fun - it's not only laugh-out loud funny, it's full of clever plotting and the kinds of twists and turns that make it not only an instant hit with fans of Tangled but will make those who haven't seen the whole film long to.

This was a lovely surprise and my girls were really thrilled to see it - they just want a full- length sequel as soon as possible to Tangled!

All in all, if you know Tangled then you'll love this - it has that magic mix of romance, enthusiasm, and fun that made the full-length film work so well.

Focused on the wrong characters

My favorite characters in Tangled are Rapunzel and, slightly behind her, Flynn. The horse Maximus and the chameleon Pascal were fine in Tangled, but I wasn't dying to see more of them. Yet they are the stars of this animated short. I did not watch Tangled for its physical humor, but since the animals can't talk, that's just about all they do.

Within the listed parameters, Tangled Ever After does a decent job, but these story decisions suck the life out of the Tangled universe. I wouldn't care as much if this was a short with the same plot but with no Tangled connection. It would fit right in as the pre-feature short for the next Disney or Pixar movie. But since it's Tangled, I know everyone involved could have done better.

Tangled Ever After is a poor choice for the name of this short. It's odd. After watching Tangled, I was fine with the story ending where it did. But this short raised the possibility of more Tangled stories, and then had a middle-of-the-road showing when it got the chance. Now I'm left wanting even more Tangled, to help me move on from this short.

Lightning Strikes Twice

When Nathan Greno and Byron Howard (With the help of a cadre of Disney's finest) created the original Tangled, it was spectacular. I gave it a 10/10. Well, they've done it again. Pascal and Maximus all but stole the original film, and in 'Ever After' they are given a reprise that will satisfy every one of the 'sidekick-lovers' out there (myself included).

Clay Kaytis has called 'Ever After' zany. It is that, but more to the point, it's hilarious. You don't get go laugh out loud very often in the theater, and the fact that it takes less than ten minutes for Ever After to get you there is quite a statement. The 3D is (with one minor exception) not abused, as was the case in the first film, but rather totally immersive. I personally wanted more of Rapunzel and Flynn, but only for about thirty seconds. After that, it's Flynn's escape from the castle on steroids, plus Pascal for spice, and with a few scenes from Ratatouille thrown in. A feast fit for kings and queens of all ages.

Note to Disney: Lightning in a bottle is rare. Tangled it the hottest property you have. MAKE A SEQUEL!

Oh.. and to Nathan and Byron... Once could be a fluke. Twice is genius. Congratulations; Walt would be proud.

I've been a huge fan of Tangled since it came out in Irish cinemas on the 28th of January 2011 here where im from and it was an honor to see another brilliant masterpiece again. For those of you who don't know what the first one was about then here's a little recap.

A runaway bandit named Flynn Rider aka Eugene Fitzherbert(voiced by Chuck's Zachary Levi) is on the run from the guards after he stole a tiara belonging to the long lost princess who was kidnapped as a baby by an evil witch(voiced by Donna Murphy)named Gothel who wanted the princess for her magical powers that are stored in Rapunzel's 70 feet of hair(voiced by ex Pop Princess now Movie starlet Mandy Moore who was also in that 2002 film A Walk To Remember that's another movie I love)so that she can stay young and healthy forever. But when Flynn stumbles across Rapunzel's tower she whacks him out cold with a frying pan and gets information about these lanterns that appear every year on her bday,he agrees and from here on in the two go off on a hilarious heartwarming adventure together where the two fall madly in love,but Gothel finds out,she stabs Eugene,he dies AND he comes back to life again. Eugene chopped off Rapunzel's magical hair that turned brown and the two live happily ever after.

Now for the short sequel of the 2010 hit and your asking me is it even better than the first movie??......well not exactly.

The sequel short is about Rapunzel and Eugene Fitzherbert who are getting married and Maximus and Pascal(the two sidekicks from the first movie)are playing a vital role at the ceremony but of course something bad happens and its up to the two sidekicks to save the day and to save the rings before anyone finds out. The animation is just as good as the first movie and Rapunzel(who is now sporting her brown short hairdo which isn't really as spiky as the 1st movie)looks great with the new look,and Eugene is just as handsome as ever. HOWEVER the two don't say as much as the 1st movie as you only hear them on the intro before we see the church that's situated near the castle and well I was kinda disappointed with Mandy Moore & Zachary Levi. I wanted their charcthers to say their wedding vows and I think its not their fault its probably got to do with the editing for this movie.

And for 6 MINUTES LONG(yes im really not kidding here this is on for ^ WHOLE MINUTES)it could have been on for much longer,I think the directors wanted to send Tangled packing quick and get rid of it as quickly as possible,but the fans of Tangled(including myself here) wants MORE full length sequels,if their crap so what we'll manage as long as Tangled gets another spin off then im cool with that. I maybe 22 yrs old,a young woman who loves Disney movies A lot ever since I can remember but this was a bit disappointing.

Still I did enjoy it and I seen it 60 times on YouTube. But if you want my advice i'd stick with the original version of Tangled. It was funny,charming,beautiful,kinda sad,heartwarming,light-hearted,and brilliant.

The 1st one gets a 10/10

An Excellent Short From an Excellent Movie

I adored the original movie, and it ranks as one of my top five favorite Disney movie in recent years. I winced a little inside when I first read about this sequel, having seen how horribly Disney tends to handle sequels to beloved classics of old and new. I decided to check it out though since it would only be six minutes of my time, and I'm so glad I did.

The short managed to hold true to the characters from the original movie down to a t, and the graphics are beyond epic for a short cartoon. What I enjoyed most is that it's a great throw-back to the shorts of old, retaining a beginning, middle, and end, yet keeping the slap-stick and jokes enjoyable and just plain fun! The few nay-sayers who reviewed this seemed either too young to remember the old days when the likes of Looney Toons and Hanna-Barbera used to throw in a ripe morsel of entertainment to get us that much more in the mood for the main feature. Either that, or they simply don't grasp the concept of a fun short cartoon built solely for the entertainment value.

If you're one of the many who do remember those times though, or if you know just how to have a good laugh and enjoyed the original film, be sure to catch Tangled Ever After. You won't be disappointed!

. . . though after the public wedding smooch, it leaves the rest of the naughty connubial shenanigans up to viewers' imaginations. Some of my in-laws tried to mount a do-it-yourself reception after their own wedding, but the absent-minded best man allowed five gallons of ice cream to melt in the bridal car trunk during the preliminary nuptial proceedings. Naturally, the final rolling wedding cake bit at the end of TANGLED EVER AFTER immediately flushed this family legend back to the forefront of my mind. There apparently is nothing worse than packing for Niagara Falls with five gallons of liquidated frozen dessert sloshing around in your boot, as they call it on the Canadian side of the Falls. That tourist trap--er, honeymoon haven--evokes the best line of TANGLED EVER AFTER, when the curio hawker belts out his sales pitch: "Frying pans--get your commemorative frying pans right here."

severely disappointed

I watched the original movie a while ago, and found it quite good. But this sequel wasn't as good. That's really all I wanted to say, it's my first review here on IMDb, so I just wanted to write something short. But apparently you need to write ten lines, and I'm not sure I have reached that yet, so I will continue talking about this short movie. I'm not entirely sure why I didn't like it. The animation was good, probably on par with the first Tangled movie. Perhaps it was the story that sucked. I guess I shouldn't have too high expectations on a six minute short film, but still. Was there any moral to the story? None that I can think of really. Character development? Not exactly. But those things aren't always required I guess. What bothered me was the.. rather lame humour. Perhaps better suited for kids. I don't know.

Tangled Ever After was a great way to get laughs before the main feature of Beauty and the Beast

Before the 3-D version of Beauty and the Beast began, this short sequel to Tangled was shown depicting the wedding of the lead characters. Well, actually before that can happen the rings have to be presented. But before that, there are some vows to be said not to mention the "Dearly beloved..." part. It's during this part that those rings are accidentally dropped by the horse that's holding the pillow with those two pieces of jewelry and it's up to him and the frog that was with him to recover them before the "I dos". So it's during what I previously mentioned that the chase begins...This was very funny from beginning to end what with all the fast-paced gags that abounded. So that's a high recommendation for Tangled Ever After.

I loved the movie, all I hated was that it was only 6 minutes long. I LOVE Tangled and would have liked more into the life after the marriage. But the movie was hilarious. I found it hilarious that the horse and the chameleon tried so hard to get the rings, going through and grabbing them in the world of craziness. And I found it funny how at the end, the cake was the last thing to go through the door. Those two never have any real luck do they? I would have given it a 10 out of 10, but the video was only 6 minutes long. If they had done something like Shrek 2, where they went into the after marriage, that would have made it a full 10 out of 10. I found it a waste of money if they are only doing a 6 minute movie. All the artists, musicians, etc all got paid for such a short movie.

Disney Shame on You!

I write this review with a heavy heart. I am so disappointed in Disney. I shied away from this one for a long time due to the fact that I did not want to expose my daughter to a movie where the hero is a filthy stinking thief. We already have enough where the hero is a jerk and wins the girl. Now we have a criminal for young girls to dream about? Disney shame on you!! Well she saw the story at Disney on Ice so we had to get the movie. I have to admit, the animation was appealing. The songs were catchy and fun, The Princess was excellent. The story line was very good up to a point. It had such potential. Then they go and make a crook the hero? I don't get it? I say again, Disney shame on you!!

As good as the main feature

Bundled with the 3D reworking of Beauty And The Beast, Tangled Ever After revisits the 2010 feature Tangled, and brings us Rapunzel's and Flynn/Eugene's wedding. Or, more precisely, it brings us the shenanigans which ensue after chameleon Pascal and horse Maximus lose the wedding rings.

This 3D short is full of frenetic action and very funny sight gags, and is a worthy addendum to Tangled, one of Disney's best animated features: like its predecessor, Tangled Ever After is an exemplar for the use of 3D. It is also a treat for those who loved the two non-human sidekicks in the original (although, personally, I loved the wonderful subtle touches in Rapunzel's "performance").

A decent little short.

It's practically pointless and overly short at just 6 minutes, but 'Tangled Ever After' is amusing thanks to Pascal and Maximus. The animation is on the same level as the original 2010 film, which is nice.

Is it needed? Of course not, yet it's harmless fun.

This was a short film, a sequel that had the royal wedding. But the lead characters were the horse "Maximus" and the Chameleon "Pascal". The way the rings are dropped and their chase for it. Oh I loved it. I did hope that it should have been a full movie. But nevertheless, it was amazing. I enjoyed it and yes it did maintain the Tangled standard. I did wish it had some songs, since I am still in love with the songs, "I see the light". And some more "I have got a dream". It's a quick but joyful roller-coaster ride movie. I love the colors and details in this and its prequel movie. It's worth watching. And yes I love Maximus' and Pascal's look when they finally get the ring.

Dream wedding with obstacles

"Tangled Ever After" is a nice little add-on for those who enjoyed the Academy-Award nominated feature starring Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi. Without having seen the original film, it's pointless to watch though, but why would you. It's directed by Greno and Howard again and also features the voice cast from the film, although they don't really have that much to say. Basically, in these under 7 minutes, we follow the two main characters's BAFFs (best animal friends forever) trying to get back the wedding rings for their masters. Hands down, Gollum couldn't do their job any better. They really give it their best. There's lots of action in here and it happens something new pretty much each second for the entirety of the short film.

The good thing about it is that you get to see pretty much every character from the film (Flynn's friends, Rapunzell's family), even if only for a very brief moment. I also liked the lantern reference to the "I See The Light"-scene, one of 2010's finest. The cake ending was pretty funny as well. This short film was published roughly a year after the original movie and though it did not blow me away, it is 7 minutes worth spending.

A very short, short movie

On Rapunzel's wedding day, Eugene's horse and its pet chameleon accidentally loose the royal rings so they must do whatever necessary to bring them back on time. It's a very short film, and I really mean short, which brings back a glimpse of Tangled in a pretty funny manner. Its length and its single sided focus on secondary characters contribute to its rather low rating for its type but don't hesitate to watch it if you can.

. . . it's kind of refreshing to get some comic relief from this quarter, even if TANGLED EVER AFTER runs for well under seven minutes. This Spring, of course, California's Santa Anita Race Track made international headlines as their four-month equine death toll reached a 21-nag salute. The size of this facility's ghost herd in the sky has continued to swell since then, with reports from OTHER states (think New York, Maryland, and Kentucky) on their own staggering records for equestrian demise roll in like a Red Tide, causing Misty to shed a few tears even before her old barn on Chincoteague went up in smoke this year. That, of course, echoes key bits of TANGLED EVER AFTER, many of which suggest Impending Doom (including a dark, viscous, pitch-like tidal wave chasing the stallion through narrow village streets, with this troubled trotter later landing in a "tar factory," which seems to be just one tiny canter removed from the Glue rendering facility). While a few lucky steeds such as "Trigger" may get stuffed and mounted in museums, Asia's gluttonous appetite for steak chow mane results in thousands of noble American wild mustangs being butchered annually in chop shops. So enjoy the horsey humor of TANGLED EVER AFTER--and then please donate to your local branch of SOME (Save Our Mr. Ed's).
