Early in the episode, Beckett is examining her bullet scar, which is in the middle of her chest, between her breasts. Later in the episode, when she shows the sniper her scar, it's now toward the edge of her left breast rather than in the middle.
At the 2:50 mark, Lanie says the sniper was between 200 and 300 yards away, which at most is 900 feet. Then at 3:24 Esposito says, "He took out a moving target from a quarter of a mile away" which is 1,320 feet.
Kate's chest was cut open after she was shot so they could remove the bullet and find the source of the uncontrolled bleeding; they even showed the doctor manipulating her heart. There is no scar, except the bullet hole mark.
Lainie tells the team the distance of the shot, which would be impossible without knowing what rifle and load were used. She would need to know the amount of powder as well as the barrel length of the rifle to even begin to estimate distance.
Captain Gates says she knows of only one meadow in New York City; she is referring to Sheep's Meadow in Central Park. However, there is a neighborhood called Fresh Meadows in northeastern Queens.
The rifle shown at 4:32 is a Remington 700 in AICS stock. It is a bolt action rifle which does not eject the spent casing after each shot. At 11:33, they find a spent case that was left behind. Unless a shooter was planning a follow up shot, he would have just left the spent case in the rifle.

Laine removes the bullet from a door casing which is not the Coroner's job. The Crime Scene Unit would be responsible for taking pictures, and measuring the depth and angle of penetration, then they would remove the bullet.
In one scene, Beckett comments about the belief most people have of snipers being 'removed' from their targets, with her meaning physical distance. When referring to a sniper, "removed" more often than not means detached from the target emotionally; they see their targets as an objective to complete, with little to no compunction of ending their life.
