A Great First Episode.
Leysritt13 April 2023
I really must say that how they did the first episode is really Genius, and when I say Genius I mean that they started this Anime in a really great way that is easy to understand the story and everything that is going on, and to tell you it in a better way what they did is instead of making a normal 24 minute long Anime episode they did a 82 minute long Anime episode, then in that episode they told us all the important stuff that we need to know, and they did that in such a good way that this first episode was Genius. The animation is really amazing the art style is beautiful the music/OSTs are nice, and pretty much there is nothing to complain about. What I really like about this Anime is that it starts really chilli and then becomes really dark, even though you already know it will happen from the start I still like it that way, and when I say "I like it that way" I mean that I like Animes that start nicely and cute and then become dark and sad. Overall yeah I really recommend you to give this a try you can like it or you can dislike it, afterall the decision is yours.

Suffering Covered in Snow
rxckne9 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I just heard about this anime a couple days ago and in the back of my mind, I thought to myself that it wasn't for me and hesitated to watch it. That's when I thought about the anime Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War and realized that I've done it before and have been wrong, so I should pull the trigger and gave this show a try. The 1 hour time length didn't throw me off because I knew about the praise before hand and was eager to see what the hype was about, but I was NOT expecting for the whole first episode to be a prologue for the ENTIRE series. It's such a bold move for a show to make and I think it's too soon to say it's payed off considering I have no clue what happens next, but the doors that are opened give some huge promise. Knowing that people can be born reincarnated, could Ai's killer be reborn potentially? And even then could Ai herself be reborn? That would be insane but I think I'm speaking too down the line there. But I have a hunch that some huge twists will be coming down the line in this show and maybe in the future we'll see Aqua finally find out who his sister truly was before she was reborn.

I don't have too much to say regarding the story (which I know is crazy to say considering this was a 1 hour plus episode lmao) because I feel this was essentially building the foundation for the series and the rest of the season will lead us to what the show will truly be about, but I really want to touch on Ai's last scene. I was completely thrown off when her stalker just straight up stabbed her, but the moments after were brutal to watch. Seeing Aqua struggle to help her knowing he was a doctor in his previous life, and Ruby on the other side of the door seeing the blood everywhere not being able to go to the other side had me stunned. But Ai's last monologue to her stalker and her kids was the moment that stole the show. It was a full circle moment for her character as she finally was able to say the words "I love you" and truly mean it and not have to feel regret or any sense of hesitation because she truly knew. It was one of the most heartbreaking moments in anime for me and considering it happened in the first episode of a show says a lot.

I'm interested to see what's to come with Aqua being on the search for Ai's husband, what's to come with Ruby's potential dancing/musical/idol career, and I'm excited to see where this show goes in general after the care they put into this 1 hour prologue. Also huge shoutout to the artist who made the outro song. Hopefully that's the intro theme for the entire season because it absolutely slaps lmao.

anime of the year
amitshmueli22 April 2023
At first Oshi no Ko looks like a children's anime but it's really not true the first episode was really good i was glued to the screen and the end of the episode was really good i also read the manga and there are amazing things there too This anime definitely surprised me and I think it's going to be anime of the year There are some things I didn't like in the manga that are probably going to be in the anime as well, but that's okay And apparently she's going to be really popular overall: oshi no ko its a really good anime and manga with good plot and good animation

How to perfectly Introduce viewers to their series
Eneatube13 April 2023
I just found this anime on Tik Tok the other day and thought nothing of it, just to be surprised by the BEST introduction to Character and the series in the entire world of cinematic masterpieces. Not only could they create a binding between the viewer and the characters in a short time of an hour, they put you through a whole roller coaster of emotions. I don't want to spoil anything, but if you want to watch this series, then be prepared for EVERYTHING. I personally wished, I wouldn't have been spoiled and that I could watch this episode again like I did the first time, because it was just so unbelievable good.

So for me, it's a total 10/10.

GO WATCH IT NOW.

How to do a Prologue 101
boqkae13 April 2023
I have been reading the manga since it's release and I was instantly hooked, thus becoming a huge fan of the series. So I am happy to say that the people at Doga Kobo have perfectly captured all the feelings I had while reading the prologue and somehow more. There is truly very few ways I can describe these emotions I have. The best way to understand these feelings though is by watching this 82 minute masterpiece of a prologue! I don't just recommend watching this episode, I demand it. So what are you doing already? Go watch the first episode Oshi no Ko and experience what me and many others felt for the first time.

A MASTERPIECE OF ITS OWN
The thing is that I have seen a lot of anime and by lot I mean around 200 anime series and movies both counted. I have seen different types of genre of animes. But even after seeing a lot of popular anime with best storylines and direction, hand down this takes place in my top 10 animes easily even after I have only seen 4 episodes. This is a true masterpiece anime of 2023 that just came out of nowhere and mark my words it will take place in top animes of a lot of otakus who watch anime for its story and direction not just for a single type kf genre.

Watch it you won't regret it untill you have a biased mind for new animes, trust me.

This is revenge? Or drama?
aktnmrb17 April 2023
The first episode of the anime was very satisfying. I like! If the anime's theme is revenge and events revolve around Aqua, this anime deserves more than 10 stars! His drawings are fascinating! I hope the next episodes will be of the same quality. Good luck to the illustrators! Ai's death was sad. If there's revenge in the anime, I'd like some action and blood too. This anime will be more fun and beautiful! Frankly, I don't want Ruby to be too prominent. I want it to focus more on Aqua. Because he will be our hero who will take revenge. I hope he draws and writes, sees this comment and makes progress accordingly. I wish you success and once again!

A Bold and Heartfelt Story of the Entertainment Industry
whitewolfAL16 April 2023
I was blown away by the first episode of "Oshi No Ko" (Pushing My Favorite Child), which tells a realistic and daring story of the entertainment industry. The character development is incredibly nuanced and touching, drawing me in from the first scene.

Clocking in at a feature-length 90 minutes, the first episode breaks conventions and tells a complete story of the protagonist's mother. The themes of idol life and the contrast between lies and reality are expertly explored, making for a truly extraordinary viewing experience.

Furthermore, the episode is elevated by the beautiful and haunting soundtrack from Yoasobi, which adds a layer of depth to an already emotionally resonant story.

Overall, "Oshi No Ko" Episode 1 is a masterpiece of storytelling, and I am eagerly anticipating the rest of the series, which promises to be a thrilling detective story in the making.

First episode was wholesome.
nimkardarshan18 April 2023
I can't think how should I explain it but it has everything of everything it is loving, entertaining, eye opening, lil bit of shonen vibes, daily life, slice of life, thriller, mystery, it also depicts the reality of the entertainment industry and how idols are made and what problems they face. I have how everything is show so smoothly I never felt bored even for a second as if I was hooked to it and there is also about how peaceful are babies life. The whole episode had a meaning means even though in the middle we forget about what the story is and get engaged in other stuff but the end really pulls us back and shows us the big picture.

This ep 1 is the best introduction ever
mrzeroanimation14 May 2023
Most of the TV show have also best introduction but compare to to this anime. This show also bring impact to a lot of me. I felt sad for the protagonist which bring PTSD just like Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad. That's the opinion I ever had for this anime. Bye for now. The mother of the children in this anime is the saddest character of all time. This also bring dark side of becoming a Idol and celebrities. A lot people say they want to be celebrity, watch this anime before deciding to become a celebrity. (This is just my story so skip if u want) I saw this anime viral in tiktok so I watch it. At first I thought it just a idol being loved by their fans but a lot of plot twist which I love when comes to the show or anime. Now I read manga which the design is not good as anime because anime put a lot of effort and beauty of the characters especially ai and Ruby.

This is not enough for me.
desxmin19 July 2023
This story should be watched across time, but the main character doesn't like it very much But yellow heads are more attractive than me to be honest. You must know that you are more attractive than others. I just said that, nothing to say. What's the problem with Goku? Can be worn alone after Seven Opera Birds talk about pad and talk to each other. Don't like that. This story should be watched across time but the main character doesn't like it very much but the yellow head has more charm than me to be honest. You must know that you are more attractive than others. I just said that, nothing to say. What's the problem with Goku? You can wear it alone after seizing.

When fanatics became crazy, they will do anything to spread their beliefs.
Freecazoid20 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Aka Akasaka, the author of the original manga, has already established himself as an unusual screenwriter. The man's credibility is earned quickly and in a single work. That's a lot better than most one-day mangaka who draw one work and either milk it for years or end their career with it.

Having finished his first work, "Kaguya, in love as in war," the mangaka decided to switch from a strange romantic romcom to a detective thriller drama, "Star Child," and it turned out to be, to put it mildly.... Evocative. The grotesque style, strange plot and frequent deception of expectations made the manga popular.

There's comedy, drama, thriller, detective, romance and out of that well made approx. Nothing? Or rather to say that the script throws from genre to genre without much cohesion using the most banal tropes going into some uninteresting thrashak. A detective for 2 minutes, and then a couple of jokes, maybe with romantic overtones, and if you're lucky for a thriller look, at worst the characters will just talk about anything.

The anime has some big problems with the story. The main one is that there is essentially no story. One twin is an actor and the other twin is an idol and the anime tells the story of how the characters are just doing work and other school stuff, and the things stated in the synopsis are only episodic in nature and at best we only get to see the development of the characters' romantic interest or the development of their career as an actor or singer.

The second important problem is the lack of risk and the viewer's lack of understanding of why a given character does a certain action. For an example, let's take the main character-Akwa. He is looking for the murderer of his mother. The family's residential address was given to the killer by one of his mother's acquaintances, who is connected with the show business. That's actually why Aqua went into acting, to find both the traitor from his mother's friends and the murderer... so what? The guy obviously can't put the murderer away, since he has no proof. Maybe Aqua wants to beat him up? That makes even less sense. For personal interest? No either, Aqua has seen the killer through his personal eyes, as a viewer we know the killer is a father of children and just a crazy up fan.

And that's just how it is with everything in the anime, the contrived problems are just there and in some places they are even addressed, but they are addressed in the most cartoonish and bad way possible.

The third major problem is, like I said, it's a bunch of malarkey from genres and ideas. In the first series at least something adequate is traced, but about this later, but beyond that..... The detective is forgotten at once and as described above just doesn't make sense. But the psychological thriller is played relatively well, here and Jung's ideas can be noticed, but teenage maximalism with stupid characters kill the thriller at all. And if you think about it, the problems of the characters are just far-fetched and are solved as simply as possible. For example, a few episodes stand on the fact that one of the secondary characters is hated on the Internet because of which she decides to commit suicide, nothing works out and then she gives out a phrase like "I was so weak, but my friends saved me, it's too early for me to give up". There's no character development here, and these actions launch a silly arc about stopping the internet hating. This is an example of a minor character, what about the major ones?

Characters.

Ai Hoshino is a mother of two, as well as an idol. One of the most interesting characters in Theory. She's been pretending to be an actor her whole life and never opens up to people because of her job. Aydol on the other hand, they have to be perfect and not commit any contradictory actions or else all the fans will turn away from them and end their career. Ai has a quest of maximum difficulty, she has to hide two children and still be a good mother. Ai is an actor and follows all the producer's commands, and there was no command to love children, but Ai really wants to be a good mother and is trying.... I guess. In theory it's an interesting character, with its own drama, here the problem is that Ai dies too quickly and the character line built up just goes nowhere, and everything I've listed before is just the character's story told. The key rule of screenwriting is to show, not tell, well the makers have even successfully missed this point. At the moment of her death, Ai sits and talks for five minutes about how she would like to learn to love and so on, because of which the drama doesn't come out, and the contrast of events against the background of such a long death went nowhere.

Aqua is the protagonist of most of the anime. He is an adequate protagonist, cold, secretive and reasonable, and does not hesitate to manipulate other people if it is profitable for him. Here we have a full set of interesting protagonist, but there is nothing to do in the series. As I said, there is no plot in the series and these character traits just get in the way, and the author abolishes it to the usual sociobofa with complexes building a comedy on it. In places yes, it is an interesting character, giving out interesting thoughts

Ruby Hosokwa is the protagonist's twin sister. It's hard to call her a protagonist at all, or at least a main character. Part of the anime she is absent. It is difficult to say anything about her character. It is a typical cheerful and purposeful girl. She's also a reborn. Except that she is already about 30 years old along with her past life and new one such a silly character clearly doesn't suit her. But on the contrast of the general background of the characters she does not stand out.

I can also note that all the characters are just perfect for the world. They are all talented from birth. It's just not interesting to watch.

Conclusion: This anime product deserves its low rating, there is no animation at all, everything is drawn as cheaply as possible, the plot and motives of the characters are as bland as food a week before Uraza Bayram. From the very beginning I was perplexed by the maximally amateurish novel monologues of the characters.

The anime has suchscore because of the shock scenes, previous work of the author and sensitive children with no taste.

It has you wanting more every time
shaneywalker27 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
To be honest this show so far anyway has been amazing it keeps you on your toes the whole time and when you think things will be normal and wholesome they just get so dark. It has a good way of showing the mystery through aqua and his intense desire to learn more about ai and lastly a hidden detail with their eyes the brighter the star in their eyes burn the more talent they exude but the darker the less love they show through it that's why in the beginning ai had no shine in her eyes and aqua's eyes 👀 occasionally go dark. It's an amazing show with an excellent pilot everyone should give this show a chance and a shot to be on their top anime list.

Better than the manga? Don't know and don't care
lahariramesh13 April 2023
I haven't read the manga and don't think I will cause the anime is so darn good. 1st episode in, it feels like a prologue to a roller coaster of episodes to follow. I don't know what's going to happen, but I like the episode so far. There's so much happening and the characters look absolutely stunning. You'll love, cry, laugh and be on the edge of your seats while just watching episode 1. Hope the rest are released soon as not only in this a series filled with everything I mentioned earlier, it also shows people as they are, multidimensional and have so much more to them than what meets the eye. Looking forward to more.

Season 1 Review
RebelPanda28 June 2023
Lies. Who among us hasn't told a lie or two? Whether it's telling a white lie or presenting a false version of ourselves. Celebrities, actors, musicians, and artists must constantly maintain a public image, which may require telling a lie or two. As a famous idol, Ai Hoshino's life revolves around lying. "The lie becomes the truth" are words she lives by. She lies to her friends and fans, but no one can see through the facade beneath her starry eyes.

Oshi no Ko's most provocative scene tragically occurs in its feature-length premiere. The tearjerker ending propelled the series into popularity, leading to disappointment when the rest proved to be an entirely different beast. Some viewers may build false expectations, but those who approach it open-mindedly will enjoy where it takes them. The premiere was a well-written story best left in the past. It initially evokes the untouchable masterpiece Perfect Blue, but aside from the final scene, the juvenile execution pales in comparison.

The episodes after the premiere are more refreshing. Oshi no Ko's content is comparable to my all-time favorite anime, Kaleido Star, for its realistic approach to performing arts while maintaining an uplifting message. It never shies away from showing singers, dancers, and actors' struggles to preserve their image and criticize demanding audiences. Writer Aka Akasaka does not condemn consumers but provides a mirror to reflect on their behavior. Oshi no Ko honestly portrays the Japanese acting and idol industry. Seeing how child actors phase out, stunt casting, agency competitions, and differences between writers and studios add to the realism. There are many things they should have taken into account, such as numerous reshoots, scheduling, and post-production. They seemingly picked and chose the most exciting parts of show business to portray and ignored the less appealing but equally crucial aspects.

Through Ai Hoshino's twin son and daughter, the series explores the ups and downs of acting and idol careers, respectively. Both children secretly lived past lives, in which they adored Ai. Her son, Aquamarine, was Ai's gynecologist, murdered by her stalker. Her daughter Ruby was only a young girl when she died of cancer. They take their reincarnations surprisingly well, but who wouldn't when you get around-the-clock attention from your favorite celebrity? Well, probably some people. The kids pursue futures that live up to their mother's legacy and do right by her. For Ruby, this means carrying on Ai's legacy as an idol and rebuilding her group B-Komachi from the ground up. For Aqua, it's rather intense; he dedicates his life to searching for their absent father, putting aside any personal goals. Aqua and Ruby attend Yoto High School, which offers a performing arts program only for students attached to a talent agency. Luckily for the kids, Ai's previous manager Miyako Saito adopted them and made them part of her company.

A common critique of Oshi no Ko is that the reincarnation plot device is unnecessary. I disagree with that judgment because it's necessary to advance the plot. Aquamarine uses his skills of talking to seniors as a doctor in his past life to smooth talk a director, which gets his mother a film role. He uses his people skills to dig up clues to track down his lost father. Unlike many other high school geniuses in anime, Aqua behaves like an adult due to his reincarnation; it is better that the plot provides a reason other than the simple notion that he's a prodigy. Some viewers may find Aqua's infatuation with Ai overwhelming, and it is nearly an oedipal nightmare. Still, it rides the line carefully-quickly reminding us that his love for Ai is admiration, not romance. Ruby's past life provides an obstacle to overcome rather than skill. She struggles with dancing, a crucial skill as an idol, partly because having cancer made it difficult for her to dance, causing her to have difficulty with her mindset. Aqua and Ruby are deeply flawed, socially awkward, and very traumatized, like the other characters.

The side characters stand out with vibrant personalities that leave a lasting impression without gimmicks. Each character possesses their own set of goals, struggles, flaws, and endearing qualities. Among them is Kana Arima, a former child prodigy in acting who now finds herself a mediocre teenage actor. With a theater kid persona, Kana exudes excessive confidence that can seem condescending. However, her knack for maneuvering within the industry helps her secure roles. Like others, her character development involves confronting inner demons caused by past trauma and present triggers. As a freelancer, she often gets trapped in undesirable parts. However, when she joins Ruby to form their idol group B-Komachi, Kana discovers self-respect. Together, they build their team from scratch, with relentless effort and determination.

Another key supporting character is Akane, an up-and-coming actress who works alongside Aqua on a reality TV dating show. Through Akane's arc, the writer explores a theme touched on during the premiere. Social media: How it helps and harms performance artists. There's a focus on positive and negative responses to Aquamarine's TV shows, but it peaks with online hate and canceling Akane faces. Harassment's disastrous effects on her mental health are realistic and portrayed with uncommon sensitivity. Regardless of how the arc plays out, it is cathartic to see the people responsible for her turmoil condemned by the author. This includes the grossly misogynistic haters online and the scumbag producer of their reality TV show.

Aside from the tearjerker premiere, Oshi no Ko manages a few other genuinely moving moments-a mental health crisis and a near breakdown before a major performance-but surrounding those is a bit of contrived drama. Aqua's slow quest to find his father loses steam quickly. However, future seasons can revive that subplot. Ruby must navigate rising as an idol, a path well-worn by music anime. Though they mostly avoid pedestrian school drama, there's romance stalled by misunderstandings. It's as if the anime keeps seeking narrative conflict when there is plenty to dig into with the characters' turmoils-especially Ruby and Aqua's rich history. Tell us more about how their past lives inform their present! And it would've been fascinating to learn more about their adoptive mother; surely, a chapter or two can be spared for her. Despite the story's slight drawbacks, it's consistently elevated by one of Doga Kobo's most impressive presentations alongside Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun.

Although it is less well-directed than Akasaka's prior adaptation, Love is War, Daisuke Hiramaki handles the drama in Oshi no Ko excellently. The combination of orchestral background music and close-up shots creates a sense of immersion during the dramatic scenes. With soaring melodies and dynamic arrangements, orchestral compositions heighten the emotional intensity. As the music swells, it accentuates everything felt by the characters; anguish, joy, and depression, evoking an impactful response from the audience. Furthermore, the well-timed close-up shots sweeten the effect of these moments by capturing the characters' raw expressions.

Oshi no Ko delves into the intricate world of lies and facades that permeate celebrities' and performers' lives. It explores the challenges and consequences of maintaining a public image while delving into its characters' personal trauma. While the tearjerker premiere may have set high expectations that the subsequent episodes couldn't fully meet, the series delivers refreshing and immersive portrayals of the performing arts. The reincarnation plot device, although debated, advances the storyline. The side characters shine with their distinctive personalities and genuine character development, with Kana and Akane standing out as memorable figures. Despite some contrived drama and missed opportunities for deeper exploration, Oshi no Ko is consistently elevated by Doga Kobo's strong presentation. Ultimately, the anime provides a cathartic experience, while taking the coming-of-age genre from a fresh angle.

its not just about revenge or Rising to top.
muhmdshahidbhat17 May 2023
Story of "My star" is really fasinating and unique its not about idols messing around from my persipective i would have never sypathized with real world actors, but after this anime i understand the actors going through on daily life. And especially the recent episode 6 was a true masterpiece and character development for akanie is astonishing and in just one episode also we get to see effects of harsh criticism on people who are already doubting them selves and it sets an intresting lure for me to want to check out manga right now for next episode.

In short this anime is about struggle of ppl.

This show is damn good
mcchathuthi24 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is a overall season (upto ep 7)review and i

The opening song Idol - Yoasabi It's my favourite anime opening like it's better than the latest demon slayer season 's opening and slightly better than gurenge, houmra.

Episode one The beginning of the show was pretty boring as a thing idk what people call it but it is necessary for the story to progress forward like establishing personality, importance of Ai(the character not artificial intelligence) and Aqua and Ruby's previous life's the show misleads and tricks us into believing that this is a showbiz , comedy type anime with grey (a level before dark) bits and as it progresses Aqua (previous life)gets murdered by the same stalker dude who will later lill Ain and kills himself and as we see Aqua in car scene. Btw which is perfectly animated. Where the show pretty much takes off into a dark, revenge story.

The anime left me speechless... when I first watched it ... I had a negative mind coming into this and man I was blown away.

I thought the anime was just going to be about pop anime girls to be all kawaii and cringey. BOY! WAS I WRONG! Definitely give this anime a try and if you don't like it after the first episode then you can drop it. Worth the time- rated 9 because it is currently ongoing and I don't know whether it will be a bad ending. I have high hopes!

I hope you guys try the anime with more of an open mind and the anime had a creative approach with the resurrecting- character anime style .

Don't judge a book by its cover
themethe3 April 2024
Personally when I first saw this anime, and saw it was getting popular and I thought: "oh great another weird looking anime getting popular". But one day I decided to read the basic plot description, and I thought, like most people would... it sounds weird. But then as a joke a decided to start watching this. First off a 1 hour first episode seems weird, but it was worth it. Second, with out spoiling anything... the plot summary is a tad bit misleading. And third and final, I may or may not have watched this all in the span of 1 day cause it was so good. Basically I relearned the lesson of: Don't judge a book by its cover (or should I say anime)

A charming, deep, character-based drama on the entertainment industry
talking_about_movies29 June 2023
Let me try my best to tell you how this show is. I rated it 9/10. That should tell you that I thought it was great. But it's a bit more complicated than that.

Look, the 90-minute long 1st episode was a masterpiece. It was just perfect. I've already reviewed the episode individually. But if you're going to expect a mystery/thriller afterwards, you're going to be disappointed. The mystery plotline is very slow. It's probably going to be addressed just a little here and there. But if you understand what the author is trying to do with this story, you'll have a great time afterwards as well. Not as brilliant as the 1st episode though. But that's unfair of me to say because, like I said, that 1st episode was a MASTERPIECE.

What this show is though, is a very character-based drama about the entertainment industry. You can see the author channeling his feelings regarding the hardships that people have to go through in this industry. And I liked seeing how he did it. The studio Doga Kobo adapted it with so much heart and soul. This is easily one of the best manga-to-anime adaptations in recent years. The animation is absolutely gorgeous, the character designs are unbelievable, even the direction is perfect.

I said a while back that I'm surprised to see this story from Aka Akasaka, Love is War's writer. I'm not anymore though. This is what he does. He makes very deep characters that appear very complex. He shows a lot of drama. You might not completely understand these characters until multiple seasons end. And he's great at this. The character depth and build-ups are really great here. Ai, Kana, Aqua, Ruby, Akane, all these characters are portrayed brilliantly.

That being said, there's some drama that I didn't like. There's a love triangle that forms between 3 characters. I don't know what's the point of it. Aqua's character was just a bit unlikeable. But he probably has a lot more depth and he's being set up for the future arcs.

Overall this is a great show and I'm looking forward to season 2. But you should know what to expect from this show in order to enjoy it.

I have recently gotten into anime and haven't watched many anime. But I think this anime deserves to be one of the highest rated anime. The concept is just awesome, and the details, the plot and concept are outstanding. Animation quality is superb, also the anime deals with real-life showbiz issues. Although the many problems of being in the industry are shown from the very first episode, the 6th episode showed how cruel the Internet can be. Every entertainer won't have an "Aqua" to save them. Thought I feel that the first episode could have been broken into 3 or 4 episodes, I do understand why the director clubbed it into one, to make the viewers understand the main plot. Overall his is a great anime, a fresh concept and perspective.

Really So good. Great.
aminasg-9134524 August 2023
Very good . I hope it will continue and not end soon, both anime and manga. I hope to continue. This anime is Amazing. Maybe it looks like it is not good, but if you look at only one part. You really like it. The anime characters are well done and interesting. Especially Aqua. I just hope the mangaka doesn't finish the manga soon as he said and continue. It will be a pity if it ends. This anime has great potential. Please continue the Manga. Mangaka. I can't wait for the next episodes. I suggest you watch this anime. You will definitely like it. The anime is very good in terms of quality and graphics. I can say that it was one of the best animes I saw. My only regret is that they might end the anime soon. Based on the mangaka's words. I hope it doesn't end.

This anime, despite the criticism it received, but it is an anime that entered my heart naturally, for someone who wants or aspires to become a great actor in the future, this anime gave me a huge dose of drama with passion .Anime is bold and I personally love this kind of anime, anime I have lived a journey with unforgettable characters, how social media can affect a person , how people judge a person based on what they see on the screen, even if acting, the idea of quoting manga alone was new and awesome, in short, the anime entered my heart and I got very attached to it, my rating for the season is 9.4 / 10 this anime, despite the criticism, but it is an anime that entered my heart naturally, for someone who wants or aspires to become a great actor in the future, this anime gave me a great dose of drama with passion . Refreshing take on isekai genre
keikoyoshikawa26 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Lately the isekai genre has been lackluster - too many same tired plots about over-powered characters, for example. But "Oshi no Ko", based on the manga series of the same name, is refreshingly different. I have not read the manga, but so far the anime version is good.

The main character is easily Hoshino Aquamarine, who used to be Dr Amemiya Gorou, who along with his twin sister Hoshino Ruby get to live out their otaku fantasies as children of an up and coming idol Hoshino Ai. So far not so unusual.

However, the anime is quite honest about the cut-throat nature and vacuousness of the idol industry, and that is refreshing. Also, there's a couple of moments when Aqua is called seijuku baby (mature baby) by a small-time director or snotty baby by Ai.

Later he's just called seijuku. Hilarious :D

Ruby's story, however, is more somber. As is Ai's story also. After the first episode, which is basically the prologue, the story takes us to the present when both Aqua and Ruby are now teenagers, with new but related plot lines.

I hope this series will be really good.

Ai Hoshino should of been the main protagonist
GhostShadowAmethystX0530 September 2023
Man, watching this anime was a walk in the park, though I mostly saw the first episode which led me to believe that Ai Hoshino should of been the main protagonist of the entire series but sadly, she got stabbed in the stomach by some deranged fan in a black hood, leading to her children's horror.

This anime sure does have unforgettable episodes, mostly the first one. The prologue is unforgettable and the characters are interesting and I never forget their names.

Overrated or not, this is one of my favorite animes so far as of the 2020s. It's worth watching, I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen the anime.
