Harlan really does attract the most colorful of villains

"Justified"'s third season doesn't kick off with a continuation, so much as resetting the game board. New Big Bad, new stage to set . . . more than that, Raylan's still nursing his injuries following the shootout. The guy's gotten his ass kicked several times now, but we've never seen him weakened like this. The man who can outdraw anyone, and he still has problems at the shooting range. It's a startling into, to be sure. That said, he still outdraws a Detroit hit-man in one of the most unusual gunfights. It's a great scene.

Outside of that, there's the introduction of Robert Quarles, and Neil McDonough is magnetic in the role; the man's intense and it says something that even Wynn Duffy doesn't want to cross him. When I first saw this, I couldn't wait to see more of him; and on this (what, fourth viewing?) I still feel that way. The casting is just spot-on.

My chauvinistic rant lol . I like this show and the actors of course the writing is Elmore Leonard . Timothy Olyphant has done this , Deadwood and also once upon a time in Hollywood. He's great and only reason I watch this show . Obviously it's the hick version of breaking bad or sons of anarchy in my opinion, but not better than those shows at all . Not a diss either , it's a compliment to this show . Nick Searcy all I gotta say .
