This unique story's epic conclusion.

The Umbara arc is fantastic; not only is it visually epic, but the narrative between the clones and Krell has such a satisfying conclusion. This storyline humanized the clones like never before and gave them diverse character arcs to explore. It also posed questions about the clones' purpose and the amount of rights they actually had. It was interesting to say the least and the best writing I believe this show has ever seen. I don't normally write reviews for this show, but with this episode arc, I couldn't resist.

Complex Clones
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic29 September 2020
There is complex depth added to the overall story of Star Wars by episodes showing clones as thinking, feeling, independent beings who sometimes go against orders. It makes the Order 66 story even more shocking and heartbreaking.

This episode makes fascinating additions to this complexity. It engages us with them as people with full human depths of feeling and conscience.

A story with depth, superb character drama and action. Krell is a great character who enacts great lightsaber battles.

My rating: 10/10.

This Umbara Arc is one of the best arc in Clone Wars period. I loved it the complex and layered shades of every character and how the story unfolds was scintillating to watch.

The best Clone Wars Arc!

There is so much to love here. A story focused on clones is always a delight because we don't get to see a lot of their personality in the prequels. Krell is such an interesting character to watch. He pushes the clones to their limit and it causes the clones to discuss what they should do: follow Krell or try their own plan. That is so interesting to see. You should watch clone wars for these episodes alone. MUST WATCH.

Perfect, Dark and emotional finale to a great last episode

Jesse, Fives, Rex, Dogma, Tup, Waxer Each and every one of these clones had their chance to shine in this episode. This is my favourite episode of the clone wars period. The 501st Vs 212 was emotional and unexpected. It was visually beautiful, had some dark moments, memorable moments, and has definitely left it's mark on me.

It pretty much sums up everything I love about the clone wars. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and has you on then brink of tears. Pong Krell is a meanacing character. Each and every clone is amazing in this episode, from Rex, Waxer, Yup, Jesse and Fives.

This whole arc in general was perfect.

Good end to a way to long and sometimes boring story arc.

I don't get why this story gets so much hig reviews. I found it quite boring at times with to many useless battles. Could have easily been a two or three parter. But this episode ended the story in a great way.

Super good, just would've preferred a slight change.

I thought the entire Krell story arc was dark, intense, and overall interesting. However, and this is just my opinion, I was kind of underwhelmed when Krell wanted to be Dooku's apprentice. I would have found it more interesting if Krell had just been a sadist against Clones and a desire to become more than a Jedi. I like that he had a vision of the future of the Jedi, but I wished he would have desired to be his own power, because joining the Dark Side seemed to me as too obvious. He also said that he "serves no one's side, only (his) own," but then desires to be Dooku's apprentice. Maybe I'm just missing something, but I would have preferred him be a sadistic former-Jedi destined to rise above Jedi and Sith.
