It’s been rumored for months now and we reported about it a couple of weeks ago, but it appears to be official now that Scott Hall aka Razor Ramon will be the next inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2014. The announcement is expected on WWE Monday Night Raw from Brooklyn tonight, though the reveal has been confirmed early by the following newspaper advert;
A report from PWInsider suggests that the current plan is for members of The Kliq to induct Hall. That infamous group included Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman (X-Pac). No word if all of them will present Hall or if it will be just one of them. If it was one of them, Nash appears to be the most likely since he two formed the Outsiders together. However, if all...

For Dr. Jennifer Ashton, the end of "The Revolution" is at hand.
The score for ABC's effort to replace two long-running daytime dramas with weekday lifestyle programs is now 1-1: "All My Children" substitute "The Chew" is staying, but "The Revolution" -- which took the "One Life to Live" slot and involved medical expert Ashton, design authority Ty Pennington, style source Tim Gunn and others - is not. Its final telecast is Friday, July 6, and Ashton is happy with the attempt even if it didn't last too long.
"For me, the experience has been amazing," she reflects. "I always consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to communicate through television with millions of people ... and to deliver information in a way that has the potential to improve their lives. When you're talking about medicine and health and wellness, that's a very real possibility, and I feel we did that.

'Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition' gives new direction to post-'Revolution' Dr. Jennifer Ashton
Dr. Jennifer Ashton is winding down one television chapter as she's revving up another.
The Englewood, N.J.-based gynecologist and author has been one of the hosts of "The Revolution," which ends its ABC weekday run Friday, July 6. However, she's getting a primetime slot on the network as a counselor for those trying to get in shape on "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition," beginning its second season Sunday (June 3).
"I appear in all eight episodes," the pleasant Ashton tells Zap2it, "as the doctor who sees the people after they've lost their weight. That's sort of my summer project, which is nice. As my grandmother used to say, 'When one door closes ... '"
Ashton actually made the deal for "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" before "The Revolution" began what ultimately would be a brief run in January. "What was so incredible," she says of taping her "Makeover" stint, "was...

While "The Revolution" will not be televised, ABC has come up with a "Good" way to fill the time until Katie Couric's talk show hits the air Sept. 10.
The network announced Monday (May 21) that it will soon launch "Good Afternoon America." The program, which is being referred to as an "extension" of "Good Morning America," will feature Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer as co-anchors. ABC adds that "Gma" regulars Sam Champion, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos will periodically stop by for special appearances.
The one-hour program will debut on July 9 at 2 p.m. Et. It will focus on light news, pop culture, lifestyle and workplace issues. The network has committed to a nine-week run for the show.
"Good Afternoon America" will replace the recently-canceled "The Revolution." The lifestyle talk show, featuring Ty Pennington and Tim Gunn, was sacked after its ratings failed to meet expectations.

Rachael Ray thinks it's "too bad" that "The Revolution" is over, not long after it began.
ABC has announced its weekday lifestyle show, which began in January as the replacement for the long-running soap opera "One Life to Live," will end in July.
While prepping her 10th annual benefit cooking show Thursday (April 12) at her alma mater, Lake George (N.Y.) Jr.-Sr. High School, fellow daytime-television resident Ray -- who recently marked the 1,000th episode of her eponymous syndicated program -- tells Zap2it, "I know so many members of that team, and they've all been guests on our show.
"There's such a wide net out there now in daytime, syndicated television as well as cable, you hope there's audience enough out there for everyone ... especially if you're rooting for friends of yours. Just like with us, the viewing audience is always the boss, and it can depend on so many things.

ABC has cancelled one daytime series and renewed two others. Fans of General Hospital can breathe easy, at least for a little while.
The network has confirmed that The Revolution, their ratings-challenged talk show, will go off the air on July 6th. The TV series debuted in January and took the place of One Life to Live. Hosted by Tim Gunn, Harley Pasternak, Ty Pennington, Jennifer Ashton, and Tiffanie Davis, The Revolution has been a ratings disappointment and has been averaging about 1.3 million viewers according to Deadline.
Meanwhile, both General Hospital and The Chew have been renewed for the 2012-13 season. While General Hospital's viewer numbers have come down over the years, the ratings have shown signs of improvement. In late March, Gh averaged 2.3 million viewers while The Chew drew 2.2 million. Will The Revolution still be televised? The ABC daytime makeover show — hosted by Jennifer Ashton, Tim Gunn, Tiffanie Davis Henry, Harley Pasternak and Ty Pennington — has had a difficult time reinventing ABC's daytime lineup, only pulling about half the viewers that One Life to Live previously attracted in the timeslot. The Revolution may have to make way for Katie Couric's new talk show, which launches on many ABC stations this fall. But...

Andie MacDowell showed off her runway stride on "The Revolution" when she teamed up with Tim Gunn for a trenchcoat fashion show. The 53-year-old actress spoke with Gunn about how her style has changed over the years: "I wouldn't wear really short dresses any more -- just don't feel comfortable in them," said MacDowell, who elaborated that short hemlines were inappropriate for her age.
The "Jane By Design" star doesn't just play a fashion expert on TV; she has plenty of style rules of her own. In a recent interview with ABC News during fashion week, MacDowell shared several looks that post 50s should avoid, including mini skirts, Juicy Couture sweats and juniors clothing.
There is at least one piece of revealing clothing MacDowell will wear, however. Check out the below video to see what it is and to view Gunn's stylish trenchcoat tips.

On ABC's new daytime show, "The Revolution," five lifestyle experts provide tips to help improve women's lives. There's a physical trainer (Harley Pasternak), a doctor (Jennifer Ashton), a therapist (Tiffanie Davis Henry) and a clothing consultant (Tim Gunn). The last slot -- a lifestyle guru -- is filled by Ty Pennington, the boisterous host of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
Pennington is more than just a pretty face who's handy with a hammer -- he has his own furniture, home decor and linen lines as well. The 47-year-old spoke to The Huffington Post about his new show and was refreshingly honest about his lifelong battle with Adhd.
"The Revolution" sounds a little like "Queer Eye" for women.
(Laughs) That's interesting. What I think is kind of neat about "Revolution" is that it's sort of helping people in so many different categories of their life. It's not just about health and fitness.

In our ongoing effort to watch anything and everything that’s on television, Thursday afternoon found us trying to get through an episode of ABC’s new daytime chatter, The Revolution.
Please know that the operative word in the previous sentence was “trying.” Because man, we haven’t seen such a hot mess of a show since Working It.
For the initiated, The Revolution is a rip-off of every lifestyle show to ever hit the airwaves. Now, this in and of itself isn’t necessarily something worth getting one’s knickers in a knot over. After all, there are whole cable channels filled with exactly this same sort of dreck. (We’d ask why the airwaves needed another show in this particular genre, but the answer — based on The Revolution’s dismal ratings — is that it didn’t.) But what makes this show so particularly odious is that ABC yanked a 43-year-old scripted drama,...

As soon as she stepped onto the red carpet at Sunday's Grammy Awards, all eyes were on Rihanna in her super sexy black Armani dress with its plunging neckline. So how does the singer get such an attention-grabbing physique? "She's got such a beautiful body naturally," says The Revolution's Harley Pasternak, creator of the 5 Factor program that has helped the pop star maintain her svelte figure. Much has been made about Tim Gunn's recent revelation on "The Revolution" that he hasn't had sex in 29 years (he's fine with it, by the way). Still, he didn't seem fine with sharing this tidbit with millions of people, if this clip is any indication. He seems nervous and shaky, as probably befits someone transitioning from fashion guru to endlessly gabbing talking head. While I'd watch Tim Gunn read the phone book, and I have no doubt he's a good addition to "The Revolution" as the show's resident fashion expert, I'm a little unnerved that someone who seems to be...

ABC's "The Revolution" is a show about advising women who are struggling in their health, home, wardrobe, and yes -- their sex life -- but one of the experts calling the plays has been celibate for almost 30 years.
Tim Gunn, who found fame as a mentor on "Project Runway," admitted this week on the show that he hasn't had sex in 29 years. "In the spirit of our hero women who are open and transparent and vulnerable... I haven't had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No. Not even remotely."
Of course, he admits to having, uh, urges, on occasion. "I'm a perfectly happy, fulfilled individual, and I have feelings. I mean, it's not as though I'm some barren forest."
When prompted to explain further why he hasn't jumped into bed with anyone in the last three decades, things got even more personal -- and Tim grew emotional.

Tim Gunn is unquestionably one of the smartest and most candid figures to gain fame as a reality show regular. As the designers' mentor on Project Runway, he's critical and honest, even if in subsequent interviews he sometimes seems like a shill for the contestants. (Calling season three runner-up Uli Herzner's eye for great prints "second only to Diane von Furstenberg" was and is a stretch.) Still, he's a thrillingly articulate professional. On yesterday's episode of his panel show The Revolution, Gunn enjoyed another moment of refreshing candor, admitting he hasn't had sex in 29 years. He's broached that topic before, but it's time we compile his proud moments of (often harsh) truth-telling in one place. Here are my favorites:
On relishing his 29 years as a single man
"The truth is, I don't have time to be a good partner. Relationships take commitment, and all my energy goes into my work.

Fashion guru Tim Gunn certainly knows how to make it work—except, it seems, when it comes to the horizontal mambo. The Project Runway mentor revealed yesterday on The Revolution, the lifestyle show he cohosts, that he hasn't gotten some action in quite a while, adding that an "intense" but unsuccessful long-term relationship played a hand in it. So exactly how long has this dry spell been? "I haven't had sex in 29 years," Gunn said on the show, as his cohosts looked on in bewilderment. "Do I feel like less of a person for it? No!" he continued. "I'm a perfectly happy, fulfilled individual, and I have feelings. I mean, it's not as though...

It's been a while for Tim Gunn, but don't feel sorry for him. The Project Runway star revealed Tuesday on the ABC talk show The Revolution that he hasn't been intimate with anyone for 29 years. But that's just fine with him, he added. "I haven't had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No. Not even remotely," said Gunn, 58, to applause from the audience. Gunn said the reasons for his abstinence are rooted in psychological issues from an old relationship. "It's very personal," he said. "I was in a very intense relationship for a long time.

On a very special episode of his new show The Revolution Tim Gunn admitted that it’s been quite a long time since he had a gentleman suitor take a turn on the catwalk. About three decades long, to be exact. “I haven’t had sex in 29 years,” the Project Runway host revealed on the show today. “Do I feel like less of a person because of it? No.” Gunn went on to explain that a negative experience during an “intense” relationship lead to his long-time celibacy. “He was impatient with my sexual performance,” Tim said of his unnamed ex as he blinked back tears. Too bad they couldn’t make it work! Haha, do you get it? We have to laugh or else we will never stop weeping.
This isn’t the first time Tim has talked about his sex life (or lack there of) in public, but it certain is the saddest!

Tim Gunn has made no secret of his long-term celibacy. But the style guru's intimate revelation on the Jan. 24 episode of "The Revolution," ABC's new health and lifestyle program which he co-hosts, came as a surprise regardless.
"I haven’t had sex in 29 years," Gunn confessed during Tuesday’s show, which focused on how to improve your sex life. "Do I feel like less of a person because of it? No, not even remotely."
Nonetheless, the openly gay "Project Runway" mentor added, "It's not as though I'm some barren forest."
When pressed, however, a visibly emotional Gunn said his nearly three-decade-long dry spell had been brought on by a previous relationship. "He was impatient with my sexual performance...it was at the cusp of AIDS [and] I’m happy to be healthy and alive, frankly."

We thought we couldn’t love Tim Gunn any more than we already did after watching him play something of a kindly expert uncle on Project Runway for years, drawing others out of their shells while lending a supportive ear. But on today’s episode of ABC’s The Revolution, which focused on jumpstarting your sex life, the very private style guru put himself out there, revealing that he hasn’t had sex in 29 years. Yes, 29 years. Watch the clip after the jump.

Oh Tim Gunn, say it ain’t so!?
On Tuesday’s episode of The Revolution, the mild-mannered Project Runway mentor made a shocking admission about his sex life, revealing. "I haven’t had sex in 29 years," Gunn revealed during Tuesday’s episode. "Do I feel like less of a person because of it? No."
My first instinct is to yell at the top of my lungs, "What Is The Point Of Living If You Don’T Have Sex!?" But I temper my tongue -- because I am surrounded by a room full of my coworkers, including my mother -- and that could get awkward.
On the show Tim Gunn went on to talk of a past "intense" relationship that caused him to become celibate. He said, "I’m a perfectly fulfilled person… but it’s very physiological."
So what made Gunn put his gun in storage for the past three decades?...

What is "The Revolution"? Yes, soap fans know it as one of the shows that's taken over the timeslots of their dearly-departed daytime dramas (R.I.P. "One Life To Live"), but this is one show that might be compelling enough to squash their boycotts.
Executive producer Jd Roth has assembled an all-star team of experts from every field -- "Project Runway" mentor and style guru Tim Gunn, celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, women's health expert Dr. Jennifer Ashton, relationship therapist Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" home guru Ty Pennington -- to help people truly change their lives on TV.
The pros have been hard at work for months now, working with their makeover subjects, whom they call heroes for many different reasons. Some of the people on the show survived Hurricane Katrina, others are too busy protecting and serving as police officers to take care of themselves,...

"One Life to Live" will end its 44-year run on ABC on Friday (Jan. 13), but for some of the show's actors, there is in fact life after Llanview, Pa.
On Wednesday, ABC announced that four "Oltl" actors -- Kassie DePaiva, Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson -- will reprise their characters as part of a new storyline for "General Hospital," the network's last remaining daytime soap.
"We have a very exciting story planned for the citizens of Port Charles, with Sonny Corinthos at the center of it!" says "General Hospital" executive producer Frank Valentini in a press release. "Incorporating characters from 'One Life to Live' [will] continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into 'General Hospital.'"

Diane Haithman is contributing to Deadline’s TCA coverage. It’s rare that a new TV show is more notable for what it replaces than for itself, but such is the case with ABC’s The Revolution. The daily inspirational makeover program replaces the long-running One Life To Live, and the soap’s die-hard fans are militantly unhappy. At today’s TCA, the first question to the Revolution panel was about how the show would deal with the backlash and keep the angry fans from switching over to NBC’s daytime drama Days Of Our Lives, which airs against The Revolution. “We can’t replace that show, but what we offer is something different,” said co-host Ty Pennington, the resident design expert whose long-running reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was also recently canceled by ABC. “Extreme Makeover was a show that got canceled too, and that was something that was really,...

On January 16 at 2 p.m., ABC debuts "The Revolution," a self help show featuring five experts who help women and couples transform their daily lives in areas of fitness, medicine, wardrobe, mental health, and environment. The network describes the show as "your daily boost."
But will it be as much of a boost, entertainment-speaking, as the fallen "One Life to Live" and "All My Children," daytime staples that were canceled in favor of this less-expensive reality programming?
Experts Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry (mental health), Tim Gunn (fashion), Ty Pennington (design), Dr. Jennifer Ashton (women's health) and Harley Pasternak (fitness) sure hope so, but at the Television Critics Association press day on Monday, they weren't particularly convincing.
"We can't replace that show," Pennington told a 'One Life to Live' fan, "but what we offer is something different. You know, ['Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'] got canceled too, and that's something that's very special to me.

Replacing one of the most familiar faces on "Project Runway" certainly isn't a simple task, but Marie Claire Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles seems to take it all in stride. With Tim Gunn helming daytime talk show "The Revolution," British straight-shooter Coles has stepped in to mentor the designers on "Project Runway: All-Stars", which premieres Thursday, Jan. 5 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime and Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. on Slice in Canada.
Coles chatted with HuffPost TV via phone from New York -- as she nibbled on a plate of marzipan -- about her catchphrase of sorts, Spanx and comparisons to Simon Cowell.
How did you get on board to replace Tim Gunn?
Well, I'd already filmed a pilot for something else with Lifetime, and they called me and asked if I'd like to do this. Of course, I said, "Yes, please!"
You get to be in charge of the "All-Stars" version.

ABC has canceled Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which will conclude its nine-season run on Jan. 13 with its 200th episode.

Dr. Jennifer Ashton realizes not all viewers are necessarily embracing a daytime-tv revolution.
Previously a medical contributor for CBS News, the New Jersey-based physician will report on health issues as one of the five regulars on "The Revolution," the lifestyle-oriented ABC program that makes its weekday debut Monday, Jan. 16. Just as "All My Children" fans spoke loudly when "The Chew" replaced that serial, Ashton expects to hear many "One Life to Live" supporters when "The Revolution" inherits that time slot.
"I feel empathy and sympathy for them," she tells Zap2it, "for the fact that something they were so attached to is no longer going to be there. I think we're very aware that a lot of those people will not have an open mind in terms of considering 'The Revolution' or 'The Chew' as shows they might be interested in watching.

Sadly, I think that Regis Philbin is right: the timing is wrong for Neil Patrick Harris to join Kelly Ripa full-time on Live! He's got two years of How I Met Your Mother left to shoot. Which is a shame, because he and David are very upfront about preferring to live in New York City over Los Angeles. And Neil and Kelly have amazing chemistry.
Remember the bisexual softball players who brought the lawsuit against the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance's Gay Softball World Series for disqualifying their team for not having enough gay players?
