Flawed but Entertaining

While hiking in the woods, the young couple Dustin and Lauren is captured by a drug dealer that is planting weeds in the forest. However, a rope wraps around his neck and he is murdered. The couple flees and soon Nick and Hank are investigating the death of the drug dealer in the crime scene and Nick sees a female Blutbad running in the woods. Meanwhile the two brothers of the drug dealer come to the police station requesting information about their deceased brother. Meanwhile Sergeant Wu tells to Hank that the DNA matches with the seven year-girl Holly Clark that disappeared nine years ago. While Nick visits Monroe expecting clarifications about the case, the brothers of the drug dealer kidnap Dustin to find who killed their brother.

"Let Your Hair Down" is a flawed but entertaining episode of "Grimm". The story forgets Dustin completely tied up to a chair in the basement of the two criminals. My vote is seven.

Decent, Even if Unbelievable

Warning: Spoilers
This week's episode is based loosely on the Rapunzel fairy tale, the princess with the super long hair who was locked in a castle tower. That's where the similarity ends. This Rapunzel is Holly Clark, a 16 year-old girl living in the woods who was missing since she was 7 years old. I found the entire hour entertaining, but the episode was definitely not without its flaws. I'm terrible at reviews so here are some random thoughts:

  • Why was she lost in the woods? She went camping with her neighbor alone? Why is he in a police lineup?

  • Did she just not know how to speak? Even at 7 years old, children usually have the ability to somewhat articulate or form complete sentences. I understand that she was supposedly alone for years, but I would assume vocabulary isn't one of those things someone could forget.

  • What was the point of the pot farmer and his brothers? They were just annoying and an obvious plot device just to show that Holly was a Blutbad.

  • This teenage girl was living in the woods alone for 9 years and can't speak and can fang out and has completely maimed a guy or two. Let's go ahead and return her to her foster mom, like ten minutes after she's found. I'm sure the girl will be fine. The mom can wear padding.

  • Is someone gonna untie that poor guy that the idiot brothers kidnapped? I mean, hasn't he been though enough already? I hope he's microchipped.

Grimm is getting better and better, as far as I'm concerned. It seems to be finding its groove, and has improved exponentially since the pilot episode. I think this will be a show I see through to the end.

S1.E7 - Holly [8.6/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S1. E7) My Live Reaction / Review for Grimm Season 1 Episode 7 ''Let Your Hair Down''. I gave the previous episode a rating of 8.6/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Someone killed this drug dealer, probably a creature. Monroe seems to really like Christmas haha. The drug dealer's brothers abducted this guy? Are they that dumb? The creature has a tree house? So this girl has been living alone in the woods for years? That's wild. The drug dealer's brothers are complete hotheads, they should arrest them. So glad that Holly is now with her parents. Overall this episode was really good, my rating is 8.6/10.
