Vivien and the Possessed House
claudio_carvalho15 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Tate promises a baby to Nora and when Chad and Patrick give up adopting a baby, he killed them. Then he raped Vivien wearing the black rubber suit expecting to get her pregnant to give a baby to Nora and Vivien believed Tate was Ben. Vivien tells Marcy and Moira that Nora had visited the house and they believe Vivien is crazy. Later Moira tells Vivien that she is not crazy and the house is possessed. Meanwhile Nora meets Hayden and learns that she is a ghost. Ben has an argument with Violet since he was informed that has not gone to school for two weeks. Violet loses her virginity to Tate. Vivien tells to Ben that she has decided to leave the house and summons Violent to go with her. However Violet lies to Ben and does not confirm the ghosts she saw with her mother. The rubber man and Hayden haunt Vivien and Ben sends his wife to a mental institution.

"Rubber Man" is an episode where Vivien finally leaves the murder house. Unfortunately she is in a mental institution. The disturbed Violet is the weirdest character of this series. My vote is seven.

Rubber man
MomentIMDB2 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The only negative is that Jessica lange does not appear but outside of that it is a very good episode.

I loved that they gave us the background of the latex man and also that they clarified things.

The rubber man is tate. Knowing the massacre doesn't surprise me, I had to be crazy.

I loved that they gave more participation to the ghosts. Hayden is back.

Vivien has a horrible day. Hayden torments her and already thinks she's crazy.

Moira was excellent and the talk about women and hysteria was art in words, certainly excellent and a magnificent addition.

Moira convinces Vivien to leave with violet, but the ghosts don't let them go.

Ben is a son and wants to convince Vivien that she is crazy.

One clarification they don't give is because Tate killed the gay couple. Nora wants a baby, and since the couple does not want to have it, kill them so that another couple with a baby moves.

the best scene is living being tormented by hayden, the tension of the scene leaves me breathless.

Vivien goes to the loquero.

major plot twist.
mm-3921 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Vivien is driven crazy because of a conspiracy of ghosts who want to separate Vivien from Ben. All the ghosts are conspiring together in the house is a major plot twist. The ghosts have an evil plan! What the evil house wants with Vivien and Ben remains a mystery. The director is creating a slow burn of terror as each ghost attacks the couple in a different way, and sometimes together. Fear, violence, deceit, and sex are used as weapons. Will Ben be able to figure out the plot before it is too late? The acting is direct and merciless cold which creates a evil, but cold effect at the same time. The Rubber suit is quite disturbing but memorable effect. I give Rubber Man a seven out of ten.

Wow!

Warning: Spoilers
Don't read unless you've seen it! This is by far the best episode yet. So much is revealed! And any confusion about what transpired before is cleared up. And what a sad and shocking ending. Only criticism is Jessica Lange is not in this episode. She really makes the show. Nevertheless, this is an amazing chapter. This series just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait till next week to see what happens next. Tate is scaring the hell out of me. And I feel so sorry for Viv. Hopefully Moira can help. It's so surprising to see America come up with such a daring original show. Not since Twin Peaks way back when has there been a series that challenges us, surprises, scares, and respects our intelligence.

S1.E8 - Crazy Vivien [8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S1. E8) My Live Reaction / Review for American Horror Story Season 1 Episode 8 ''Rubber Man''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 8.6/10. Wait. Tate was the one wearing the latex suit? He had sex with Vivien? Disgusting. Hayden wants to steal Vivien's babies? That's nuts. It's so sad watching the Harmon family slowly falling apart. Vivien is losing her mind. Violet says she didn't see nothing, what a liar. Wow, Vivien just shot Ben? Nobody believes Vivien, right now she just looks crazy to them. They are going to take Vivien to a hospital because they think she is crazy? That's so sad. Overall this episode was good, my rating is 8/10.

Worst One Yet
artpf2 January 2014
OK so AHS walls the line across horror, comedy and soft core sex. It's a mess because I don't know what to make of it. In this one we learn who the gimp is.

The gay Spock is back and so we move into an S&M theme. And plenty of gay bashing. Also we learn more about the spirits who walk the house and it's not all that interesting.

The problem with this show is the writing. The characters are so poorly written that they are laughable.

It's a mad house where nothing makes sense at all and you cannot suspend disbelief because it's all so silly. This has to be the worst episode yet.

It is sad to see how great promising developments can turn so sour by a twist in a screenwriter's daily schedule. Too many disappointments occur in this episode, from revealing who the leather man is to that couple of gay queers deciding to play drama; also, those constant flashbacks are useless and very annoying for we've seen it all before and it makes us fall asleep. And still, it's the thrill of watching, the fascinating development of those characters that keeps us going along with it as if everything is fine. The perfect nonsense to overeat on if you're feeling bad about something in your everyday life.

Pathetic...Even By TV Standards

Warning: Spoilers
The Writers Are Possessed By The Word "Crazy". The Actors Are All Dead. The Corny Violins That Signify "An Important Moment" Are Resurrected From Other Corny B-Movies. Is There Even A Story Here ??? Or Is It Just A Lot Of Dis-jointed Scenes With No Discernable Thread ???
