I myself as a HIMYM fan really enjoyed the start of the new season, 3 very decent episodes that got me interested again after a lame 6th season. However these last 2 episodes with the therapist got me off track again. It's not innovating, the writers seem to have lost inspiration and frankly the therapist guy is a bad actor. Barney's jokes can't save the episode anymore and Robin's acting has gone downhill as well. The storyline of Lily's and Marshalls baby isn't interesting either. I hope they can turn things around because I can see my favorite show being canceled if they continue on this level and we may never find out who their mother is.

Disappointment After Great Start To Season

At last Jason Segel has a prominent storyline for the first time this season.
Plot In A Paragraph: Marshall thinks his boss has gone soft on environmentalism, Robin tries to date her therapist, Barney suspects that Nora may be lying about her age, and Ted takes his "Intro to Architecture" class on a field trip.
Any episode of "How I Met Your Mother" that has this many "Star Wars" references is going to get a big thumbs up from this reviewer. That said Kal Penn returned as Kevin, Robins Therapist/new love interest, but that was balanced out by Nora returning who is my favourite Barney love interest.
Overall this was a disappointing episode after a great start to the seventh season. The ducky tie episode was great, and set the bar quite high, but hopefully things pick up soon.

Not a bad episode, but not the usual quality. The stories have some not very exciting ideas and it is usually a bunch of scratching the surface jokes.
Barney worrying about Nora being 37 was dumb. Kind of a silly theory, and that Barney's age bigotry doesn't apply to that boring person is annoying. I rather he hook up with an actual 37 yea old than Nora.
Marshall's saving the planet story seems to have no great idea either. I just hope it simply will lead to more better ones. Nothing too crazy about Ted's field trip.
And Robin dating her therapist didn't have anything interesting either. It just seems like it was done so that later they could have a better episode on this topic.
