The lush musical score from the opening credits of "Madam & the Dying swan" sets the scene for an intriguing story of a dance sequence made famous by the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. This sequence then takes the form of an almost sacred ritual learned & faithfully reproduced by Dame Ninette de Valois & her spiritual heirs. The documentary also outlines the founding of The Royal Ballet & how Dame de Valois shaped British ballet into what it is today. The evocative tones from the music score, combine different moods which serve as an appropriate accompaniment to the story and would lend themselves to a prime time drama series. More examples from rising composer Massimo Nicolosi's repertoire are eagerly anticipated.
