"Snake in the Grass" is like condensed "Survivor" minus the filler, mixed with the spectacular physical challenges of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls"; the result may just be the most entertaining reality / game show of all time! The concept is brilliant and keeps the viewer (as well as the players, well three of them anyway) guessing right to the last second: 4 people have to complete 2 missions, 1 of them is a saboteur, they seek clues to expose him/her, and finally they all vote in secret; if the 3 non-Snakes are correct, they share 100,000 dollars, if they are not (or if there is a split decision) the Snake gets all the money. Which means all 4 players are essentially playing for the same objective: convincing the others that they are NOT the Snake. The episodes where the Snake wins are considerably more exciting and satisfying than those where the Snake loses; without going into specific spoilers, I can just say that (happily) the former happens more often than the latter. Some legendary Survivor players appear in a couple of episodes, but that's just the icing on an already delicious cake. About the only negative of this show is the godawful rap "music" (if you want to call it that), though the theme during the voting and especially during the final reveal is very effective. There just HAS to be a second season of this program. 8.5 out of 10 as a whole for the first season (at least three episodes are a 9/10).
