It’s no secret that Abby Lee Miller was ruthlessly demanding with her Dance Moms students — but according to JoJo Siwa, she also taught the girls some invaluable lessons.
“You know, she personally taught me how to sink or swim,” Siwa, 14, told People Now on Thursday. “She never really said this, but you know when she’s saying something without saying it — she teaches you how to sink or swim. You either figure out the choreography and you go on stage and you nail your dance, or you don’t know anything and you go on stage and you mess up.

When How I Met Your Mother came to a final close almost two years ago, it’s fair to say opinion was divided on the ultimate resolution to Ted Mosby’s nine year, epic romance. Welcome to the February 19, 2015 edition of Outrage Watch, HitFix's daily rundown of all the things folks are peeved about in entertainment. Today's top story: Iggy Azalea is done with Twitter and thinks you're all terrible. “Just got back from a great vacation, came online and saw apparently it’s shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite. Lol,” Azalea tweeted, referring to paparazzi pictures from the trip that circulated online. “I just want to have peace and relaxation time without a perve with long distance lense hiding out taking pictures, everyone deserves peace.” And furthermore: I feel the hatred and pettiness i see online at all times is at making me become an angry person and I cannot be that. — Iggy Azalea (@Iggyazalea) February 19, 2015 To become nasty because of the way I feel iam treated would be a disservice to my fans and I promise i will try to keep smiling.

Her fourth win so she joins the top ten actresses of all time for Emmy comedy (only 10 women have 4 or more) The speech was priceless with a meta-Veep moment with Tony Hale standing behind her, giving cues.
Lead Actor, Comedy Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory
His third win for this role
Supporting Actor, Comedy Tony Hale, Veep
A minor surprise that also doubles as a tip of the hat to Arrested Development.

I just do that with lesbians, like "come on, you’re not that lesbian. For heaven’s sake, you’re just being difficult now." She’s in a happy relationship, isn’t she? I won’t rest, until every lesbian relationship in Britain has been disrupted by an unwelcome boorish Essex boy.

Good Morning! It really is an awesome morning with the striking down of Doma as unconstitutional and saying "Peace out, Prop 8!" I'm feeling all:

And here I was all ready to praise poor cute dumb-as-a-post Paul Walker for at least trying, bless his little heart. Vehicle 19 is, like, foreign and everything... though there’s no subtitles, so it’s not scary foreign -- calm down. Still: it’s practically arthouse as these things go. And he’s not just the star but an executive producer, so you know he cares, even. Why wouldn’t he? This is important and all. Something something something sex trafficking; something something something chief of police. Probably everyone involved thinks this is a powerful and insightful story about corruption in South Africa ’n’ shit. Like meaningful and stuff. Ain’t gonna play Sun City, y’all. Peace out. Which is why I’m ROTFLing, I guess. Omg, is this supposed to be this funny? The list of Stupid Movie Shit Only Characters In Stupid Movies Do is a...

Long before "Oil Sands Karaoke" director Charles Wilkinson was a documentary filmmaker, he was a musician. So getting to make a film about a group of oil sands workers competing in a karaoke contest in Fort McMurray, Alberta — arguably Canada's most controversial town — was something of a lifelong dream come true for him.
"I've been a musician since I was, like, five. A professional musician until I was 19 or so. I play all the time. I sing all the time," Wilkinson tells the Huffington Post Canada. "I've been a filmmaker for my whole adult life and I never got to do anything about music before. When we got this idea, Tina [Schliessler], my partner and the producer of the movie said, 'You have to do this because it's made for you.' And it really, really is."

Canadian writer/director Charles Wilkinson ("Peace Out," "The Highlander") is following up the first edition of his "The Working Film Director" with an updated second edition. The book is targeted towards just-beginning filmmakers, and covers everything having to do with what working as a filmmaker really means, from going to film school (or not) to making your first film. Below is an excerpt from the book's chapter on film school, courtesy of its publisher Michael Weise Productions. To see more of the book or to buy it, check out the book on Amazon. How To Choose Your Film School Who have they taught? Before you sign on the dotted line, ask each school for a list of their graduates who are now established or working directors. IMDb search them. Some schools have a very good record in this area. Some not so much. If directing is what you want to learn,...

The Academy Awards are over for another year. The songs have been sung and the gongs have been given. So what worked and what didn't?

1) Baffleck coming of age
The key acceptance speech of the evening came from Ben Affleck, as part of the producing team behind the best picture winner Argo. A man on a mission, for sure: he had been, bizarrely, shut out from the best director category, and in any case was on a very, very long road back from the humiliation of Gigli and the whole Bennifer thing. He proceeded, very quickly, to get very tired and emotional. "I wanna thank Canada, I wanna thank our friends in Iran… I wanna thank my wife, who I don't normally associate with Iran… " As the audience dissolved, and Jennifer Garner (the wife in question) got a bit teary, Affleck did a quick, intense bit of...

Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is still rambling around Crazy Town, following the ghost of Lori off beyond the fence (not safe) and the Governor (David Morrissey) is ready to repay the old adage “an eye for an eye” with gusto. And the Dixon brothers have a few things they need to work out. Cue up the angst! I think it’s safe to say Rick’s cheese has slid off his cracker. And it’s not like he doesn’t have moments of lucidity. He did come back to himself long enough to kick some walker ass when the Governor showed up at the prison. But as he told Hershel (Scott Wilson) he’s got “things and stuff” to do beyond the fence line. Yeah, okay Rick. Keep that “to do” list short and simple. Despite Rick’s heartbreaking moments chasing Lori’s ghost all over the prison yard, there were some moments of levity.

New York, Jan 9: A waitress at trendy Bushwick pizza place Roberta's waited tables in nude to celebrate her last shift at the restaurant on Friday night.
The mystery server wore nothing except for a pair of ankle-high black boots and ripped fishnet stockings as she paraded in front of patrons shortly before closing time, the New York Daily News reported.
The message "Peace out" was scrawled on her back in black marker.
Harlem resident Vicky Oyomba said that said she and her date figured something was up when they walked in at around 9 pm and saw several waitresses wearing black bob-style wigs.
They were told by.

Rihanna, Chris Brown Split? She Tweets "Goodbye Muthaf--ker" Following Karrueche Tran Reunion Report
Peace out, Breezy. Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship has always been tumultuous or worse, but the Barbadian beauty's tweets Tuesday night seemed to imply things might be over...or just the latest wrinkle. Chris's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran reportedly joined the R&B singer on tour in Paris earlier this week. (Chris was even spotted wearing a hat that appeared to be from Karrueche's clothing line, the Kill.) Rihanna, apparently not amused, tweeted (then deleted) Tuesday, "Goodbye muthaf--ker." "You give, you get, then you give it the f--k back," she added, then took down. "Examine what you tolerate." (Although the timing could be purely coincidental, it seems...

Mythic Folk Heroes have returned to our cinema screens in Lawless, starring Tom Hardy and Shia Labeouf as siblings running a bootlegging operation in Prohibition-era Virginia. The tagline concisely outlines who we’re supposed to root for: ‘When the law became corrupt, outlaws became heroes’. Which is a more poetic way of saying ‘Yes, yes, okay, so they’re breaking the law and are basically criminals, but have you seen the guys in charge? They’re, like, a lot worse!’
Rooting for the criminals becomes a lot easier when they’re facing the boo-hiss corruption of lawmen looking for a slice of the action. And, presumably, having the rugged good looks of Tom Hardy and the movie star sheen of Shia ‘Alien Robot Movie’ Labeouf is also handy in denoting ‘Hero’.
The Law has faced an uphill struggle winning the affections of Joe Cinema Goer in recent years. It’s...

If you watched True Blood’s finale on your iPad (fancy!) or via HBO Go, you probably stuck around after the credits to check out a “bonus scene” that True Blood’s Facebook page touted earlier today. The rest of you? Sucks to be you. Just kidding.
In case you were wondering what it was — but too lazy to log on to watch/you’re stealing cable and don’t have access to HBO Go — you’re in luck. I typed up the whole thing for you.

The writing could be on the wall for James Bond. His spectacular Olympics stunt is likely to have caused a furore for Movie MI6. Bond made a trip to Buckingham Palace in broad daylight and exchanged a few brief words with The Queen herself in front of a massive film crew. He then smirked at crowds below as the pair made a very public helicopter trip to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
Movie MI6 isn’t likely to be happy with the move as Bond is supposed to be an agent who operates, well, secretly. Public meetings with The Queen – despite technically being his boss – and parachuting over major sporting events with global television audiences are likely to be frowned upon and could be seen to be at odds with MI6′s clandestine mandate.
On the other hand, it’s maybe worth remembering that while the ceremony itself was watched...
