When Fargo scans the crate, about halfway into the episode, it has a QR-code on it. The code actually leads to www.syfy.com/eureka.
The new security system is called PANOP - a nod to 'Panopticon', an institutional building that enables a single watcher to observe (-opticon) all (pan-) inmates of said institution without them being able to notice it. It was designed by the English philosopher and social theorist Jeremy Bentham (1748 - 1832).
The episode contains the series-recurrent 1970s song "Car Wash" - this time the original song is played during Dr. Holly Marten's memorial service.
