Despite the obvious grotesque elements to this episode, such as Leela believing she ate her ex-boyfriend, The Rom-Com setting had me on the edge of my seat. For most viewers, Fry and Leela's relationship didn't get the appropriate build up. When Fry stated, after Leela broke up with him, "We were dating??", that too was my reaction.
There was never an episode before this point that truly defined their relationship, and its nice to see Leela and Fry fall in love all over again after forgetting each other. Suffice to say, this is the first episode where I truly felt their love for one other. I know a lot of fans may disagree with me on this, but other points in the narrative just felt 'forced'. This episode was seamless in its storytelling and its telenovela themes.
