So many wrong things here. . .And yet the combined sum of badness, wrongness, and implied acts of perversity suggesting the sexualistic invasionment of livestock have resulted in a nugget of such rare and singular beauty, it's hard to find a single detail that justifies the condemnation I'm sure this short so richly deserves. The tune is so cheesy it ought to ruin the whole thing, but it's so insidiously catchy that once heard, it stays with you forever, as does the uniquely sweet tasting sense of shame. You can watch the film from start to finish, and justify it purely on its artistic merit, but the real magic is the disturbing compulsion to immediately watch it again, just to be sure. Sure of what? Damned if I know. I must have watched it forty times, and the only thing that baffles me, is the title. Who is Smokey?

This really surprised me. Its got a really funny last few seconds.
Ya, its deep in the kinky bizarre but really funny.
Not sure but the story i heard is it was an anti-marijuana piece originally which is where the Smokey part came from. Not sure if its true. Seems hard to believe. Did they intend to say if you smoked pot you would mistake sheep for women?
Still, its funny.

Warning: Spoilers
"Thanks, Smokey!" is a 3-minute live action short film from the United States that was released back in 2011 and the million and millions of views it got on Youtube in the last 6 years made it certainly the most known work by writer and director Patrick Scott aka Zoochosis. It's okay to sit through the first somewhat boring 100 seconds for the fun in the second half as we see a guy in here who mistakes sheep for hot girls in very telling sheep costumes. The final shot is a bit of an epilogue. Maybe it is a bit more known than it should be, but it was still fairly entertaining. If you are not among the almost 30 million who have clicked this already, you might wanna change that. This film truly is a prime example of a Youtube phenomenon as it could not have gotten as famous on another medium. I personally thought with the title that it was about weed and the illusions are a result of marijuana abuse. Am I correct? Anyway, no dialogue in here, so you can check it out too, even if you don't speak English. And you should. I give it a thumbs-up.
