- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Are we there yet?
- Special Agent Timothy McGee: The more you ask the longer it's gonna take.
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Oh really? There's some magical connection between my mouth and distance?
- Special Agent Timothy McGee: No. But there's a connection between your mouth and annoyance... But thankfully we are here.
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Wait. Wait a second... You're sorry?
- John Smith: Yeah... Better late than never, right?
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Uh yeah. Yeah. But - just - I- I'm not real sure why you're the one who's sorry.
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: How old do you guys think I am?
- Ziva David: Physically or mentally?
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: [about 2 pairs of Mud Wrestling tickets] What is this a gag gift? You guys - plan this together?
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: [Entering] DiNozzo, I got a gift fo you.
- [Gibbs gives DiNozzo a folder]
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Dead body?
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Yep.
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Grab our gear?
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Yep.
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Thank you, boss. A gift I can use. Only thing I need to do right now is keep working. See? This is what I need - work. Keep busy.
- Special Agent Timothy McGee: Good.
- [McGee and Ziva go to Tony's desk and hold out their hands expectantly]
- Special Agent Timothy McGee: I think we can still get refunds.
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Never said I didn't want them.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: [looking at Abby's Homecoming photo] Which one was the lucky guy?
- Abby Sciuto: Um, all of them. They all asked me to the dance, and I couldn't bear to say no. So I kind of talked all three of them into taking me.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Hmm. How'd that work out?
- Abby Sciuto: Well... let's just say it might be what got me interested in my first crime scene.
- Abby Sciuto: [to her lab equiment] Look, I understand your pain. I mean no one wants their secrets revealed. But you have something I needed. You had something that Leroy Jethro Gibbs needed. And that is a man you do not want to disappoint.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: [Gibbs enters] Never have before Abs.
- Abby Sciuto: Actually, I have, but I prefer not to go there.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Works for me.
- Lindsey: [after Gibbs catches Nathan out the home at night] Nathan, what are you doing?
- Nathan Tobias: I was just checking to see if you're okay.
- Ernest McCormick: [Brandishing his golf club] Yeah? And I was gonna swat a fly off the end of your nose.
- Hank Galvaston: [about Curtis] He - he keeps saying how he's not going back to jail.
- Special Agent Timothy McGee: Never a good sign.
- Hank Galvaston: You-you promised you were going to bring Curtis in safe. Prove he's innocent.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Yeah, well, I can bring him in. Second part's not up to me.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: McGee, let him go.
- [McGee releases Galvaston]
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: You want to make a run for it? Go. Go. Go on. Get out of here. Do it.
- Hank Galvaston: You've got a gun. What do I got?
- [Gibbs hands him a fryer]
- Hank Galvaston: What am I supposed to do with this?
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Oh, sorry. That's right. You only use that on little girls.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: So, Duck - she crazy or not?
- Dr. Donald Mallard: Crazy is not a technical diagnosis.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: I'm not a technical guy, Duck.
- Dr. Donald Mallard: Well, the short answer is no.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Don't you have pipettes to clean?
- Jimmy Palmer: Always. Pipettes can never be too clean. Jimmy's rule number one.
- Amanda McCormick: We opened our home to you, because we thought you were in trouble...
- Lindsey: I... I'm so sorry.
- Ernest McCormick: Well... as far as we're concerned, nothing's changed.
- [Surprised and overwhelmed, Lindsey tearfully hugs her foster parents]
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: [as their searching for evidence from a street sweeper] Wait. Aren't you going to help?
- Abby Sciuto: [Abby sighs] That's so sweet of you to ask. But my job is to process the evidence - not find it. I would never want to take that away from you.
- [after a garbage truck swept up their evidence, the team is sifting through its contents; Tony dumps another wheelbarrow of garbage]
- Special Agent Timothy McGee: How many more are there?
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Another 30 or so. Next time, why don't you just shoot the driver?
- Ziva David: Next time I will!
- [while the team is sifting through garbage in the evidence garage, Abby comes down and hands out face masks]
- Abby Sciuto: Here, put these on.
- Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Oh, excellent.
- Ziva David: Thanks.
- Special Agent Timothy McGee: I hate face masks. They make me claustrophobic.
- Abby Sciuto: Well, so will the iron lung you're gonna call home when you get silicosis from all the silica dust.
- [McGee takes the mask]
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: You don't think this is a con?
- Dr. Donald Mallard: Jethro, this is not about the money. Look at the pattern. She's been in three foster families before her current one, stolen from none of them. But then, just before she turns 18, she runs away, lies her way into another foster home, and enjoys a few carefree years as a high schooler. Then, just before she has to turn 18 again...
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: She runs away, she starts all over.
- Dr. Donald Mallard: Everyone has their addiction, Jethro. This woman's is childhood. She covets an adolescence that was taken from her.
- Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: "Taken"?
- Dr. Donald Mallard: And quite violently. That story about the Pennsylvania commune is clearly a fabrication, but based in fact. This is her medical file. Her body is covered in old scars from multiple beatings. With such childhood trauma, it's no wonder that she has chosen to deny her past. And if it continues to threaten her, then I don't think she's even capable of acknowledging it. Sadly, it might have been different in her new home. Who knows? She might even have turned 18 this time.
