Good Twists

In Chicago, Katherine meets Stephan in front of a store and she tells that Elena has the necklace that belongs to Rebekah. She also feels that Stephan is plotting a scheme against Klaus, but he does not share his plan with her. Meanwhile, in Mystic Falls, Anna shows up to Jeremy and talks to him that she is alone in the afterlife. Gloria seeks out the necklace using a spell while Bonnie and Caroline visit Elena; out of the blue, her necklace burns her chest. Damon is upset with people trying to change him to be Mr. Nice Guy. Sheriff Forbes asks him to compel Bill to forget everything but Bill resists. When Damon decides to kill Bill, Caroline protects her father. Meanwhile Gloria tortures Stephan to discover who is wearing the necklace but Katherine unexpectedly kills the witch. Stephan discovers that Klaus fears a vampire hunter, Mikael, and tries to get more information from Rebekah. She suspects of his attitude and tells to Klaus that decides to return to Mystic Falls.

"Disturbing Behavior" is a good episode with some twists in the story. Damon is annoyed with Elena and Alaric since they expect to change his behavior. The return of Anna is promising and may change the supernatural plot to another direction – to the ghosts. Stephan may be cruel but is still protecting Elena and her friends. Now, with the arrival of Klaus and Rebekah in Mystic Falls and the name of Mikael, let's see where the story will go. My vote is eight.

Candice, the sweetest vampire ever
RavenGlamDVDCollector6 March 2019
Struck me while watching. Damon referred to Caroline as an annoying control freak. Back at the beginning, Caroline was intended to be a mean girl type, I suppose, but that never panned out. She was always this very nice, very sweet girl (just like in an Aaron Spelling production, where the mean girl is only the mean girl right at the beginning, think Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor)

You know why this happens? Nice girls are cast as bad girls, and then after a while, art imitates reality.

But why should Damon still refer to her in that way? How many vampires are there in his universe that is truly truly sweet, truly truly, well, like a vegetarian almost? Might desire a blood transfusion bag's content, but can't hold that against her.

After what I said last time, this one is on the right track once more. The glory of the FIrst and Second Seasons won't be obtained again, but this is still worthy of making it among the best.

The downer of this episode: Laughable to see Paul Wesley 'acting ' pain. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. To his many lady fans, the boy might have something, but acting chops it ain't. NO WAY. By the way, I rated Ian Somerhalder very highly in the beginning {no reviews placed, sorry} but less so by the Second Season. Something to do with too much face-pulling, don't clown about so much as if you're going for laughs. But while Nina and Candice do absolutely stellar work, Paul is really... anybody ever seen CLOUD NINE...? With Burt Reynolds? And a plethora of beach bunnies? Well, Paul fans, something for you in there. And because of that, I could never take Paul seriously in this prime part. Talk about lucking out. But in this episode, where ol' Stefan gets tortured by the witch, ooh, gaping like a fish just doesn't quite cut the mustard, Paul.

As usual, full marks to Nina. THAT GIRL IS WORTH HER WEIGHT IN GOLD. The same said re Candice Accola.

As for Claire Holt, I have to admit, with me she plays against a loaded dice. Recently watched her in the first two seasons of H2O JUST ADD WATER, and the memory of the teen beauty... However beautiful she is here, in that 'kiddies' show' she was just perfect-perfect-perfect.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES clearly ranks as among the best of contemporary TV. I would wager that the first two seasons WAS the best TV had to offer if you switched on back then. I am not so sure of the future. Hell, there are NO LESS than seven seasons... what about how the cast is gonna age? Vampires are supposed to recover from injuries, but how about the mortal cast's unavoidable real-life aging?
