This episode reminds me a lot of season 7 of Buffy. Love it! Being in pain and thinking the person you love is saving you. I always love watching the bad guy become good and get the girl!

Damon hides from Elena that Alaric and Damon are preparing stakes with the Name Plate of the Wickery Bridge. Then the trio meets Caroline, Matt and Elena and they distribute twelve stakes to kill the original. Meanwhile Klaus and Rebekah abduct Bonnie to force her to make a spell to disconnect the Original vampires. Then they kidnap Damon to torture him. When Stephan, Matt and Caroline kill Finn, the Original vampires do not die since Bonnie has succeeded in her spell. But they discover that Finn's bloodline dies with the vampire. Stephan deliver eight stakes to Klaus and Rebekah to release Damon, but Klaus compels Damon and finds that there are three stakes still missing. But one of them was hidden by Alaric's alter ego.
"The Murder of One" is another terrible episode of "The Vampire Diaries". The timing and coincidences along the story is irritating and Elena is back with her annoying behavior. My vote is six.

Rebekah chains Damon

Stefan and Damon get the group together in the forest to show them the new stakes made out of the wood that can kill Originals.
Damon gets kidnapped by Rebekah and is chained up. She wants to bleed the vervain from his system. Klaus is also there and threatening Bonnie. He wants her to unlink them.
Rebekah and Klaus introduces Finn to his past girlfriend, Sage. They reunite and go to the Mystic Grill where he tries tequila.
Rebekah slowly tortures Damon with his thoughts. The chains are also painful. She gets into his mind and makes a scene where Elena comes to unchain him and feed him her blood.
Stefan kills Finn with the stake. He goes up in flames. An angry Sage comes into the Salvatores' home and a man she turned. They end up coughing up blood and then also dying. They figure out that killing an Original kills everyone down their bloodline that has been turned. Finn turned Sage and Sage turned the man.
Damon goes to Alaric's where they find out one stake is not in the bookshelf. It is Alaric's alter-ego who knows most likely.
