The Plot Thickens...Excessively

Warning: Spoilers
The third episode of "Secret State" dragged on interminably due to the introduction of a new subplot concerning the New Caledonia Bank. It also veered away from the main plot of sabotage and malfeasance on the part of Petrofex to broader themes of climate change!

The three main points of interest are the death of the Prime Minister in an act of treason; the settlement for victims at the Scarrow factory; and the infighting of PM Tom Dawkins with his close colleagues.

The episode was also exceedingly violent and grim with the assault on poor Tony Fossett in his apartment. After finally sobering up and discovering the bug planted in his phone, Tony is mercilessly beaten in his home.

For the final episode, the imperative will be to sustain more dramatic tension and get the action focused around the main strands of the political drama.
